Never Say Die Read online

  The next morning, Sarah wakes up and immediately looks to see if Adam is awake. Adam is still sleeping in his bed when he needs to wake up for today. Adam and Sarah are sharing a room together, but have separate beds. Sarah throws a pillow at Adam to wake him up. Sarah says to Adam, “You take a shower first, because I take a while in the bathroom.” Adam crawls out of bed and doesn’t say a word. He walks into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for today. Of course, he brings in what he is going to be wearing for today into the bathroom to get dressed. Adam and Sarah do not plan on seeing each other naked. It would be awkward and weird for them to see each other naked, because they are so close to each other. They consider themselves like brother and sister. After Adam is done taking a shower and is fully dressed, he heads downstairs for breakfast. Sarah locks the door as Adam heads downstairs. She gets naked inside of the room and walks into the bathroom to get ready.

  Adam arrives downstairs in the kitchen where everyone is eating breakfast. Adam’s eyes immediately light up after seeing one of the twins naked and cooking breakfast. The twin that is naked is the one with hidden tattoos. Adam can see all of her tattoos and enjoys looking at them. Adam takes a seat at the table as the twin makes him breakfast. The twin asks Adam, “I’m making eggs for everybody, what would you like?” Adam replies, “I will have my eggs scrambled with cheese, please.” The twin makes Adam his eggs and puts them on a plate. Adam says to the twin, “Thank you.” The twin replies, “You’re welcome.” Adam starts to eat his eggs as everyone begins to introduce themselves to him. The twin who is walking around naked is Chelsea. Her sister’s name is Scarlet. The other two ladies in the household are Abigail and Haley. Abigail is the oldest in the household and has lived here for a very long time. She is considered the boss of the household. Haley is the quiet one of the household, but she is the one you do not want to mess with. Haley is the daughter of Lucas. It is the same Lucas who has been training Adam and Sarah.

  It isn’t long before Sarah comes down for breakfast. Sarah asks Chelsea, “Can you please put on some clothes for me, I’m not very comfortable with naked women walking around my food?” Chelsea gladly walks into her room and puts on some clothes. After Chelsea is done getting dressed, she continues to make breakfast. Chelsea asks Sarah, “So, what would you like for breakfast, I am making eggs for everybody?” Sarah replies, “I will have my eggs over easy, please.” After Chelsea is done cooking Sarah’s eggs and putting them on a plate, she begins to clean up the kitchen as Sarah eats her food. Sarah says to Chelsea, “Thank you, these are delicious.” Chelsea replies, “You’re welcome.” After Sarah is done eating her breakfast, Adam and Sarah brush their teeth and leave the house for their next training session.

  Today, they will be learning how to properly fire and use a gun in combat. Of course, they will not be shooting at each other, but they will be shooting dummies that look like real monsters or demons. Adam is given the demon to shoot at and Sarah is given the monster to shoot at. Adam and Sarah will be shooting at the targets with multiple kinds of guns. Lucas will determine the kind of gun they will be using by how well they do with each class. The class they seem to do the best in will be the kind of gun they will be using. Adam is assigned to be using a semi-automatic assault rifle and will be joining the World Army’s Marines. Sarah has impressed Lucas very much with her marksman rifle class skills. Lucas is not only assigning Sarah a marksman rifle or a sniper rifle, but is signing her up to join the special operations as a sniper in the World Army’s Marines as well. She is free to use any style of the marksman rifle class, but she will not be able to use a fully automatic sniper rifle. She is not allowed to use a fully automatic sniper rifle, because there is no such thing as a fully automatic sniper rifle. They got rid of fully automatic sniper rifles a long time ago, because they are not highly accurate or a reliable weapon to the military.

  Now that they have been assigned a military branch to join, their armor will be badged as both Marines. However, Sarah’s armor will be badged as a special operations’ marksman. Now, they’re heading back to the armory to pick up their armor and swords. Before they get their badges onto their armor, they must put on the armor to see if it fits them properly. Fortunately, they both do not have any issues putting on their armor or even wearing it. After everything is all set with their swords and armor, they are free to walk around the armory for their guns. Their armor and swords are placed where they will be putting on their gear for combat. They are not allowed to be walking around the armory with armor or any kind of weapons in their hand unless they are trying them on.

  Like the last time they were here, Adam and Sarah stay with each other as they pick out their guns. Fortunately, it is a lot easier to pick out a gun, because only one store specializes in one class of gun making. They will be walking into the marksman rifle class first to pick out Sarah’s sniper. Sarah takes a long time to pick out a gun, because there are so many rifles to choose from and she wants to make sure it is perfect. Sarah finally takes out a sniper she would like to try out. It is a large sniper rifle with a built in suppressor. Most snipers have a built in suppressor, but others you have to get a custom-made suppressor. The sniper she ends up picking out is the first one she tested out. It is a large sniper rifle with a built in suppressor, but what makes this sniper rifle so special is it does not require any ammunition. However, it does require a cool down time after a certain amount of shots. It is a beam sniper rifle and a very powerful one as well. Sarah does not request to change the color, because it is already in black and red. After Sarah is done picking out her gun, it is now Adams turn to pick out his gun. Adam and Sarah head over to the assault rifle shop.

  Adam and Sarah enter into the assault rifle shop. Adam takes his time picking out a gun, but not as long as Sarah. This shop has a lot of assault rifles, but not a large selection of semi-automatic rifles like the fully automatic rifles. Unlike Sarah, Adam does not decide over his gun by just trying out one weapon. He finally finds a rifle after trying three of them. He decides to go with the third and final rifle. His rifle does not come with a suppressor, but he does pick out a suppressor for his gun. After he has picked out the suppressor, he tests it out to see how it fires without the suppressor and with the suppressor. He chooses to keep the suppressor on the gun and has finalized it. He requests the gun to be also blue and green like his sword. The semi-automatic weapon he picked out is a modern variation of the classic MK 14. After they are done shopping, they head back home and get ready for bed.

  Two years later. Over the course of two years, Adam and Sarah have fought in many horrific and terrifying battles. Sarah has earned many awards and medals for her marksmanship. She is now classified as the number one sniper in the whole entire military. Unfortunately for Adam, he was killed in combat six months ago during an ambush as they were heading over to one of Synx’s newest military bases. Sarah was devastated to hear the news, but was expecting it as well. Anyone can die at any given moment. You have to expect and accept the death of somebody close to you or else it will drive you mentally insane. The humans have not had a victory over Synx’s military at all. However, it is all about to change.

  Chapter 2

  Raid

  Sarah is on her way to Synx’s military base located in her hometown. She has not visited her hometown ever since they were under attack. She is not sure she can handle seeing her home village, because she has a lot of memories here. She has a lot of good memories, but she also has a lot of horrifying and terrifying memories as well. She is not in charge of this mission, but is one of the highest ranks in this mission. The leader of this mission is Lieut. Col. Robinson. Lieut. Col. Robinson is a heavy machine gun user who has been part of this army his whole entire life. He is more than capable of leading an elite army like this one. Sarah will be in charge of all of the snipers during this mission. After all, she is the best sniper in the whole entire military.

  Sarah and the rest of the crew are on an aircraft heading over towards Sarah’s
hometown. She is curious to see how it looks now, but is also very nervous. As they come close to Sarah’s hometown, they all get ready for a bloody and horrific battle. As they are getting ready for battle, Lieut. Col. Robinson says, “We are heading into the area which started this war, let’s make them pay for what they have done! Never say die!” Everyone cheers and gets ready to land on the battlefield. The term, “Never say die,” is another way of saying, “Never surrender”. We use this term before every mission, because it keeps us motivated.

  Sarah and her comrades step foot on the battlefield, but do not rush in. The enemy does not know they are here, because all aircrafts have the ability to turn invisible and be completely silent. They slowly head over to the walls of the military base. However, Sarah and the rest of the snipers stay back and watch everyone else’s backs. Sarah and her snipers zoom in on the towers and the top of the walls to look out for enemies. The military base is filled with enemy gunners and snipers on top of the military base. However, the snipers will not fire until it is necessary. So far, everyone is able to proceed forward without the need to fire their weapons.

  Lieut. Col. Robinson and the rest of the group make it to the walls safely and begin to attempt to break into the military base. They tried to be quiet as possible and try not to get any attention, but the gates make a loud noise as soon as they are able to busted open. Sirens and alarms go off to alert the enemies the base is under attack and to get ready for battle. Synx’s army quickly gets ready for battle and heads out to the battlefield. The enemies on top of the walls and towers all point their guns towards Lieut. Col. Robinson and his men. As soon as the guns get pointed at them, Sarah and her men open fire on the enemies. Sarah and her men are able to kill most of the enemies on top of the military base, but there is still a lot of bloodshed on the battlefield. Many men and women of the World Army are killed by the people on top of the military base before they are eliminated. However, most of the men and women are able to get inside of the military base. Once everyone is inside of the military base, Sarah and her comrades head inside as well.

  Sarah and her comrades charge towards the military base with their guns ready to fire at any moment. Fortunately, none of her comrades are killed as they make their way into the military base. However, they do take heavy fire on their way into the military base. Once they are inside of the military base, they put away their guns and take out their swords for close combat. Snipers are the ones who use their swords the most, because everyone else has their guns out during battle. For example, Lieut. Col. Robinson only uses his sword when he needs to reload his heavy and find cover to do so. Lieut. Col. Robinson goes wild and kills a large amount of demons inside of the military base. However, it seems as if the enemy has unlimited troops in their army. Many members of the World Army die very quickly and terrifyingly. Demons typically do not use weapons, because they are built to kill anything. The only reason we are able to kill demons is because everything we use in the military is blessed. It is illegal for anyone to not be baptized both in the military and to be a civilian. The typical way demons kill is by tearing their targets limb by limb with their razor-sharp claws and teeth. It is very rare to even survive an attack by a demon, because of this. They are not to be taken likely or underestimated.

  So far, it seems as if the humans actually have a chance of winning this battle. Synx’s army members are dying more than the members of the World Army. However, the battle is far from over. They need to find a way to blow up the military base. Sarah and five other men head deeper into the military base and try to find a perfect place to lay down a bomb. Once the bomb has been set, the World Army will need to evacuate as fast as possible.

  Sarah and her men find a set of stairs that leads into the basement of the military base. Alongside Sarah is the World Army’s fastest bomb planter in the whole entire military. Unfortunately, the basement’s air reeks of highly explosive fumes. This is going to be very risky and dangerous to plant a bomb in this kind of situation. However, they are going to have to take that risk if they want this victory. Sarah and her men head into the basement and quickly plant the bomb. They successfully plant the bomb and have to rush out as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, they are interrupted by an unwelcomed guest. A very large enemy shuts the basement door and locks them all in. The enemy quickly marches down the stairs. Sarah and her men open fire on the one enemy, but the enemy quickly disappears. Sarah and her men search the room as quickly as possible, so they can kill it and get out of the military base before they all blow up. They can’t find the enemy anywhere until it reveals itself to one of the soldiers. The demon appears in front of an 18-year-old soldier and swipes him across the face with one of its razor-sharp claws. Blood splatters all over the walls and everyone else in the room. The young soldier falls to the ground and died immediately from the impact of the attack. Fortunately, the demon is killed after a soldier stabs it in the back with the two swords piercing through its body. Sarah finishes it off by shooting it in the face with her sniper rifle. The enemies head blows up and its body falls to the ground.

  Sarah and the rest of the men rush up the stairs to regroup with the rest of the army. Sarah says to Lieut. Col. Robinson, “The bomb has been planted, we need to get out of here, now!” Sarah rushes out of the military base and makes it out alive. However, she is shot seven times in the back and one time in the back of her head as she reaches the aircraft. A good majority of the World Army makes it out of the military base and onto the aircraft before the bomb goes off. Unfortunately, the rest either die from the bomb going off or are killed by the enemy. The bomb goes off and destroys the military base completely. This is the first victory for humanity during this war. Everyone in this battle, even the wounded and dead, will be awarded with a Purple Heart for their brave and noble actions during this battle.

  When Sarah and the rest of her comrades arrive home, they are greeted with high honor and respect. The humans will be celebrating their first victory of this war. Sarah didn’t really think much about home when she was at her hometown, because all she could think about was taking it back from the people whom took it away from her. As soon as Sarah steps foot off of the aircraft, she immediately gets rushed to the doctors. Fortunately, the bullets inside of her did not touch any major arteries, nerves or penetrated any vital organs. She is lucky there is no major damage done to her body. The doctors remove all of the bullets out of her body without any issues. Where she was shot in the head, the doctors quickly repaired her skull and made sure her brain was not affected by it. Fortunately, Sarah is perfectly fine and will be able to party with everyone else. The celebration will take place tomorrow morning. For now, everyone must get some rest. Sarah is fortunate enough to be able to go home and rest in her own bed. All of the wounded are expected to recover completely, but most of them will not be the same. Most of the wounded will be amputees with missing legs and arms. The rest will be getting organ repair surgery, muscle repair surgery, brain surgery or eye surgery.

  Sarah arrives at her house and is greeted by all of her roommates. All of her roommates rush over to hug Sarah. They are all happy to know Sarah is doing okay and helped give humanity its first victory against Synx’s army. They all can tell Sarah is exhausted and all help her get ready for bed. They all help her get undressed and put her in her pajamas. Sarah is not uncomfortable getting naked in front of other women or her roommates, because she is not ashamed of her body. She only has a problem being naked in front of men, because most of the men she knows are filthy pigs. Most of the men she knows just want to have sex with her and nothing else. After Sarah is in her pajamas and laying down on her bed, the rest of her roommates leave the room and go to bed themselves. Sarah is able to fall asleep without any interruptions or problems.

  Sarah wakes up in the morning and gets ready for the celebration that is going on all day long. Everyone inside of the household doesn’t bother making breakfast or eating at all, because the World Government will be supplying food to every
one whom decides to show up at the party. Sarah walks into the bathroom to use the toilet and take a shower. After she is done taking a shower, she gets dressed in a fancy outfit. But it isn’t a very fancy outfit, because she doesn’t like to dress very fancy. All she does is put on some black mascara and eyeliner for her makeup. For her outfit, she puts on an all green dress, the dress stops just below the knees. For her hair, she just lets it go down off of her shoulders and chest. After she is done getting dressed, she makes her way over to the party. The party is located in the military’s banquet hall.

  Sarah arrives at the banquet hall. She immediately searches the crowd for her roommates. She will be spending most of the time with her roommates, because they are all good friends with each other. Also, the twins like to get drunk at parties and make the party very entertaining. Sarah politely and carefully makes her way through the crowd and knows exactly where to find her roommates. Sarah finds her roommates at the bar, where they were expected to be. The bartender is not surveying any adult drinks yet, because it is still too early in the day. The bartender will begin serving adult drinks after 12 PM. The bar is crowded, because everyone is getting a drink for breakfast. Sarah orders herself an apple juice for her morning drink to go along with her breakfast. After Sarah and her roommates have gotten their drinks, they find a table and get ready for breakfast. Before everyone can eat, the General will be making a speech. He will be coming out at any moment to give his speech.
