There should have been an outcry, public amazement, but because the strange occurrence took place Friday night, when the only witnesses were drunks and fools, no one believes it happened.Certainly no-one believes Martin, the nerdy Librarian who claims it happened to him, but twenty years later they still can’t work out how he disappeared from the toilet. Where did he go?* Pod-like spacy looking toilet facility. Possibly doubles up as teleporter cubicle+. + If you believe Martin. Views: 754
A book with some stuff in it.Not for the faint hearted, this is my individual take on a wide range of situations and circumstances that have either amused or irritated me over a period of some 45 years or so, of a varied but ‘normal’ life (whatever ‘normal’ is). Some of the observations relate to big political, cultural, National or International issues; some are flippant minor irritants. So, what sort of a book is this? Is it a work of fiction or non-fiction? Basically, is it for you?Well, it’s not a novel - not a proper completely made up story that’s for sure. Some book reviewers have asked: “Where’s the story? The thread to lock the reader in?” Well I’ll break it to you gently – there isn’t one. The only thread is the warped transmissions that rattle around inside my skull on a whole host of issues from politicians, to mobile phones, to caravans and a lot more besides. This is basically a book with some stuff in it. It is largely based on facts and my take on events and occurrences that amuse or irritate. However, some elements might have been slightly elongated to become almost fiction. And there might be the occasional slight exaggeration. In fact, some of it might be complete made up crap. And most names and places have been distorted or changed to protect the innocent or not so innocent. So, if you are looking for a complex intriguing plot with carefully crafted characters – it’s possibly not for you.If, however, you have the attention span of an Amazonian gnat and simply want something that you can dip into and out of, in any order that takes your fancy, it could be just what you are looking for.Warning: not for the faint hearted or anybody who thinks life is in any way real, or to be taken seriously.“Hilarious ranting and moaning, but always set up within the context of a real and interesting storyline”.“The world this guy inhabits, many will recognise. But some of his solutions to the key issues of the day might make a few wince”.“Laugh out loud funny for grumpy old - and not so old - men. A perfect gift for that frustrated male in your life”.Note this is an Abbreviated version of the Full Book Planet Me containing a total of 10 Chapters 59 pages. If you happen to be a miserable grumpy old sod like me and you enjoy a good moan; you just never know, it might be for you. MANY THANKS - from PLANET me. Views: 754

In The Wolf, #1 New York Times bestselling author Lorenzo Carcaterra introduces readers to Vincent Marelli, his most stunning and captivating hero yet. But, in this eBook original prequel short story, before Marelli becomes the world’s most powerful mob boss, he must prove he has what it takes to lead the pack.
Features a preview of Lorenzo Carcaterra’s riveting new novel, The Wolf!
My name is Vincent Marelli, and when I was a young man life gave me a choice: play by the rules . . . or play to win. You might say I chose well, because today I am the don of all dons, commanding the biggest, most successful organized crime operation in the world. But all that I have—everything I won—I got by working harder, thinking smarter, and fighting better than the rest. This is the story of how I started. How my uncle gave me a job to do and turned me loose in the big, bad world he’d already conquered. And how I took on the man who tried to take on the wrong people—my people. I won’t say what happened. You can find out for yourself. Let’s just say that killing your enemy is easy, but there are better ways to get revenge. And the best revenge is a gift that keeps on giving.
Advance praise for The Wolf
