North Korea: An Analysis of the International Repercussions of Juche Ideology

This academic essay analyzes and examines the international repercussions of North Korea's notorious "Juche" philosophy. In particular, there is focus on three specific international topics: American-North Korean nuclear relations, North Korean-Iranian relations, and American aid to North Korea. Additionally, this essay discusses recent power struggles within the North Korean government.Once upon a time… on a cold and dreary winter’s night…For many the frightful remembrances of an awful event suffered during youth fade with time. For others, however, the dreadful scene swells with passing years, driving sanity from its path.Decades after a night of terror an old man, his mind teetering on the ragged edge of madness by his childhood recollections, determines to face his fears by awakening the world to the monstrous visions that haunt his dreams. Now he sits down to pen a strange narrative describing an event his family suffered while living in an isolated cabin during a blizzard on a night of soul-wrenching horror.Inspired by a desire to write a story that was a melding of pulp icons H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard, this short story was conceived with the intent to capture the building of horror of which the Man Who Was Providence was so capable, while simultaneously mating a Lovecraftian plot to a hero that might have been penned by the same hand that hammered out stories such as Red Nails and Almuric.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This quick read is a short-story.

Its All Wormholes Now

With the new emphasis in particle physics of using wormholes to explain some of the phenomenon of quantum mechanics, which strangely is eerily similar to the magic system in my books, I decided to try and create particles using this magic system. The essay is just an accumulation of notes written over the course of the year. I got some very surprising results,Painter Eric Snyder harbors a secret known only to his wife, Lynne. When Eric’s latest disappearance raises the suspicions of best friends Sam and Renee Ahern, Lynne can no longer keep the truth under wraps. While the Aherns ponder this phenomenon, Eric embarks upon a search for his father, once again taking him far from the woman he loves. In Part Two, set in 1961, as the Snyders adjust to change, Sam Ahern relives some of his Korean War experiences. Sam’s wife Renee is alarmed by his candor, while Laurie Abrams reveals that his cousin Seth also served in Korea, but returned an altered man. Meanwhile Lynne Snyder undergoes a transformation and Stanford hosts an exhibit of Eric’s work that catapults the artist into sudden fame.In this third part of the series, set in 1962, the culmination of the Snyders’ dreams becomes reality, yet the truth about Laurie and Stanford makes Sam wary. Pastor Marek Jagucki is introduced, providing peace to Eric, but slight worry for Lynne. However it’s Renee to fret most, when Sam’s sister Frannie makes a dramatic announcement.

It starts in Russia with the brutal fall of the Russian monarchy, continuing to modern-day America. Loves are found, lost, and refound, while searching for the missing treasure of an entire nation, lost for almost a century. The enormous gold stockpile of the Russian monarchy disappeared in the final days of the October Revolution. For almost 100 years, treasure hunters, adventurers, and governments have spent millions chasing clues to its hiding place, leaving a trail of death and corruption across two continents. The legend of Kolchak’s Gold has ignited passions across generations. Few facts are known, other than that the gold was in the possession of Admiral Kolchak, the Supreme White Russian Ruler of Siberia, during his failed attempt in 1920 to escape the Red Army, using the Trans-Siberian Railroad, which was under U.S. Army escort. The gold weighed tons and was hidden in American Army containers, marked for return to a National Guard Armory in Michigan. Kolchak was captured and executed during the journey, but the gold stayed on the train and was never seen again. Has it been found? The prospect of such enormous wealth impacts the lives of everyone even tangentially and unknowingly involved.
