As for graphic visuals of gunshots, this book has them but are pretty tame compared to the evening news. And shooting two handguns at the same time, I was military trained and worked as an NRA Firearms instructor for a number of years. So I know my guns and I stand by what I wrote. As for Granite House itself, I based that on one of the many cave systems that dot SE Minnesota and I would have loved to build a place like that, wouldn't you?For alittle background, many parts of A Private War were written way back in the 1970's and 1980's and it has followed me as I traveled to Japan, Honduras, and England while serving in the US Air Force. And I am proud to have served my country even now.Also, this books was started as a series and I had planned to publish Volume 2 some time ago but getting a degree, starting my Phd in Clinic Psychology, and having a heart attack caused me to place that on the back burner for now.
