The Day America Died
The USA has been attacked with nuclear devices detonated several hundred miles inland and a hundred miles above our country. The shit hit the fan, our country has seen the apocalypse and is now trying to survive in this post-apocalyptic world.
Zack Johnson is no hero, but he does have some valuable prepper skills to help him survive. He is a thousand miles from home, the grid and all modern transportation have failed. The country is degenerating into violence and dog eat dog scenarios. People are killing their neighbors for a scrap of moldy bread or a sip of water. The remnants of the US Government are not helpful at best and his enemy at worst. The Department of Homeland Security is forcing people into relocation camps for their own good. Zack has to get back to Kentucky to find his daughter so he can take her to the safety of his farm.
Davi is an Israeli intelligence officer who flees to the USA after delivering the bad news that Iran and North Korea are about to nuke the USA and Israel. She must keep her mom and dad safe while finding a safe hideout.
Zack’s daughter, Callie, is 15 and is a daddy’s girl. She grew up hunting, fishing and back packing. She tries to keep her mom alive until the danger passes.
Zack goes from trying to figure out how to deal with his girlfriends and ex-wife to how to save his and his daughter’s lives while America becomes more dangerous by the minute.
Mike Norman is Zack's best friend and his ex-wife's brother. He is a ladies man who has to step up to the plate and keep Callie safe until her dad gets home. He knows Zack will get home. He just doesn't know what Zack will have to do to get home.
How are all of these people tied together? Are the attacks over and will the USA be invaded by the perpetrators of this heinous disaster? Read The Day America Died and find out.

I've always been a fan of Science Fiction and Mystery novels and wanted to write a novel since I was 10 years old. I try to make my characters become the kind of people that you see in your neighborhood and place them in life changing situations. Only then, can you tell how they will react and their true character. None are role models just like the rest of us in this world. My heroes rise to the occasion and do what it takes to survive and beat the bad guys. My villains are bad and deserve what they get. I'm not into political correctness. God created all people equal. What they do after birth makes them heroes or villains.
The Adventures of John Harris series is a conservative view point about what happens to the USA after rogue US agents and Iran work together to end the USA as a world power. John and his followers survive and begin rebuilding Post Apocalyptic America in spite of the US Government which is bent on placing Americans in work camps and installing a socialist style of government.
After the EMP (The Day America Died.-New Beginnings) is a series about an average American who works hard at surviving after EMP blasts take down the Grid, transportation and all electronics. He tries to be a good man, but has several flaws that he is always trying to over come. He first has to travel home from the west coast to Kentucky to find and protect his teen daughter. After that it is just trying to survive in a world full of danger and chaos.
Grumpy, Sam and Sammy is a series about a young girl who develops from a poor abused child into a strong woman crime fighter who solves murder mysteries with the help of her adopted father and a tiny Shih Tzu. In the first two novels she solves the murders and kidnapping of hundreds of young girls by a wealthy man in Kentucky. These novels portray a family with strong Christian values who struggle to be better in their faith while dealing with an imperfect world.
I was born and raised in a small town in the western part of Kentucky. My Dad taught me how to handle guns very early in life and I spent summers shooting .22 rifles and fishing. I read every book I could get my hands on and fell in love with science fiction. I graduated from Southern Indiana University with a degree in Chemistry and made a career working in manufacturing and logistics, but always fancied myself as an author. I began writing my first book in 1999, but was busy making a living and the book had to wait. I finished it in Dec 2013. I am now retired and devote most of my days to writing. I plan to publish four books a year as long as people enjoy reading them. Conservative politics, Prepping, golf and writing are my passions.
