It all started when he came into her life… Nat is a tough British teen who doesn’t need anything except her group of friends. They're her family. Her life. She would do anything to protect them. Until one of them makes a shocking mistake. Scott is the outsider. His mysterious vibe draws Nat in unlike any other boy. He speaks in riddles about how great life can be. Yet, with a psychotic mother, and a group of friends that constantly get into trouble, Nat isn’t convinced. Their first meeting is unconventional. Nat isn’t proud of robbing a shop with her friends. It was nice of Scott to hold the door open for her, but it wasn’t exactly the perfect way to meet a good looking boy. Instead of the usual judgement, however, Scott says four simple words that will mean more to Nat than she ever imagined. If you enjoy teen contemporary romance with a strong willed British girl, you won't be able to put this novella down. Buy now to be immersed in the world of six teens living a less than savoury life in London. *This book was previously published under the title Choice! for a short while. Interview with the Author Q: What inspired you to write this novella? A: My life. Most writers put a part of their experiences in their work. There are particular situations that Nat goes through that come from personal experience. I wouldn't say it's exactly biographical because Nat isn't who I was as a teen, but let's just say I know what she's been through. Q: So is the character, Natalie, similar to you in any way? A: Her confidence, even though fake, is much stronger than mine ever was. I wouldn't say boo to a goose, to use a British saying, which means that I was very quiet and withdrawn, suffering in silence, shall we say? Nat's strength is fake, a front she puts on to cope with her mothers illness. Q: Would you be happy to tell us what part of the book is a personal experience? A: Yes, of course. Most of the book has been embellished to make it different to my life but the main experience I share with Nat is regarding our mothers illness. I had the same experience. Q: Most teens have difficulties to deal with. What advice would you give to the teen version of yourself now? A: To remember that you're doing the best you can. Life will cause you all sorts of emotions, but emotions change. Situations change. You change. So, hang on when it feels awful, because soon enough, change will come.** Views: 39
The favor seemed simple: Keep my new stepsister out of trouble for one summer. I’ve never met Grace Lee, but Mom tells me she’s a quiet and artsy college student with a troubled past. When I agreed to let her stay with me, I thought it was no big deal. I expected to share my apartment with a sullen girl who’d spend hours locked in her room. I didn’t expect a walking fantasy determined to make me lose my cool. I didn’t expect a woman with secrets so dark, so deep, I’d throw away everything if it would save her from the past. Rushing in to do this favor is turning my life upside down—and not just because Grace needs her ass spanked. Keep her out of trouble? Grace is the trouble. And I want in. Views: 39
