The Little Parcel

‘The Parcel’ is a collaborative novella written by the attendees of the 2016 spring-term ‘Creative Writing – Intermediate’ ten-week evening class hosted by co-contributor Morgen Bailey. The authors wrote their chapters while knowing only the size, weight and destination address of the parcel, together with the chapters’ starting and ending locations – chosen by the authors themselves.‘The Parcel’ is a collaborative novella written by the attendees of the 2016 spring-term ‘Creative Writing – Intermediate’ ten-week evening class hosted by co-contributor Morgen Bailey. The authors wrote their chapters while knowing only the size, weight and destination address of the parcel, together with the chapters’ starting and ending locations – chosen by the authors themselves. They chose their own characters – the lead of which entitle each chapter – and plot.Morgen then collated the stories and made minor edits to turn each chapter into a cohesive novella before designing the cover and upload the finished package between the final two weeks of the course so all the contributing attendees left the course as published authors! We all hope that you enjoy reading this novella and that it feels seamless to you. We would love to know what you think and would also be very grateful if you left a review as an encouragement for others to read the novella.Thank you again for downloading this eBook – your support is much appreciated.

Quartet for Three

Tragedy strikes top-rated TV show "Symphonic Idol" when one of the musical judges is found dead onstage, and everyone's a suspect in this classical twist on the detective story...It all begins in a contemporary setting, a political retreat on the remote Cumberland Island in southeast Georgia. The president and the presidential candidate, find themselves lost and alone together, during a year when the planets are aligned in a rare 'Cosmic Singularity'...within the newly relabeled Bermuda Quadrangle. Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, the two are whisked away unharmed by a tornado, to another place, to another dimension, to another existence where primitive cultures live. BamaOay is recognized by one faction of primitives as their leader. His mission: to unite and defeat the demons he calls "The Tea Baggers."Warning: This novel will be too provocative for most overly sensitive, PC-embracing readers. If you happen to be part of a PC police squad for your neighborhood, I would suggest you stop here, and move on...

The Link

The work The Link began as a 557-page outline that Richard Matheson wrote for a proposed twenty-hour ABC mini-series in the late 1970s. The ABC executives asked Matheson to shorten the series into seven hours but after Matheson had written three hours of the series, the two parted company. Matheson’s original vision could not be condensed without destroying the essence of the plot and characters. Here in The Link is the original outline, in narrative form, in publication for the first time. The story follows Robert Allright as he explores his own demons as well as those of psychics past as he also struggles to decipher his father’s dying wish to explore an archeological dig in Arizona. Allright’s only clue is the mystifying crystal that his father believes is the key to a great discovery.

Comfort to the Enemy and Other Carl Webster Stories

“The reigning King Daddy of crime writers” (Seattle Times), Elmore Leonard first introduced quick-triggered legendary lawman Carl Webster  in the New York Times bestseller, The Hot Kid, and brought him back for an encore Up in Honey’s Room. In Comfort to the Enemy and Other Carl Webster Stories, the loose cannon U.S. marshal struts his stuff once more in three electrifying new tales. Comfort to the Enemy is more indisputable proof that Elmore Leonard is indeed, as Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Shutter Island) puts it, “The greatest crime writer who ever lived.”
