This annual anthology of rare stories of crime and suspense brings together tales from the Golden Age of Detective Fiction for the first time in book form, including full-length novellas by Christianna Brand and Julian Symons. Mystery stories have been around for centuries—there are whodunits, whydunits and howdunits, including locked-room puzzles, detective stories without detectives, and crimes with a limited choice of suspects. Countless volumes of such stories have been published, but some are still impossible to find: stories that appeared in a newspaper, magazine or an anthology that has long been out of print; ephemeral works such as plays not aired, staged or screened for decades; and unpublished stories that were absorbed into an author's archive when they died . . . Here for the first time are three never-before-published mysteries by Edmund Crispin, Ngaio Marsh and Leo Bruce, and two pieces written for radio by Gladys Mitchell and H. C. Bailey—the latter featuring... Views: 594

My new obsession are these reverse harem series! Omg, I knew nothing about a reverse harem story and now I am obsessed. They can differ in many ways but this style written by G. Bailey is the best! On top of the series love, I found a new book series and Author that I enjoy! I swear I have been in some sort of book slump and not enjoying some books lately.-Book Crazy Lady reviewer.
I have read 3 of the books in the series and have been so completely taken by not only the storyline but also its characters.-Amazon reviewer.
I bought this book on a whim not knowing anything about this series or the author and was instantly enamored by this series. I love how G. Bailey takes the popular storylines usually affiliated with these supernaturals and makes them her own. This was my first reverse harem series and I'm hooked. -Christina (Reviewer)
This was a great start to what I think will be an amazing series! When I finished this book I was extremely impatient on waiting for the next. Winter is a highly complex character with many secrets about herself that she isn't even aware of yet I feel like.- Whitney Wright reviewer.

The Washington Post Book World has written that Fernando Pessoa was "Portugal's greatest writer of the twentieth century [though] some critics would even leave off that last qualifying phrase" and "one of the most appealing European modernists, equal in command and range to his contemporaries Rilke and Mandelstam." The Selected Prose of Fernando Pessoa spans playful philosophical inquiry, Platonic dialogue, and bitter intellectual scrapping between Pessoa and his many literary alter egos ("heteronyms"). The heteronyms launch movements and write manifestos, and one of them attempts to break up Pessoa's only known romantic relationship. Also included is a generous selection from Pessoa's masterpiece, The Book of Disquiet, freshly translated by Richard Zenith from newly discovered materials. The Selected Prose of Fernando Pessoa is an important record of a crucial part of the literary canon. Views: 593
"We wish you\'d get rid of what you\'ve got here, sir," he observed, digging doggedly. "Nothing\'ll grow right with them here." "Shrubs " said the Squire, laughing. "You don\'t call the peacock trees shrubs, do you? Fine tall trees -- you ought to be proud of them." "Ill weeds grow apace," observed the gardener. "Weeds can grow as houses when somebody plants them." Then he added: "Him that sowed tares in the Bible, Squire." "Oh, blast your --" began the Squire, and then replaced the more apt and alliterative word "Bible" by the general word "superstition." Views: 593
