The Perfect Comeback of Caroline Jacobs: A Novel

Caroline Jacobs has lost herself. She's a wife, mother (to a tattooed teenage daughter she avoids), Sears Portrait Studio photographer, and wimp. Asserting herself, taking the reins, or facing life head-on are not in her repertoire. So when Caroline suddenly cracks and screams "Fuck you!" at the PTA president, she is shocked. So is her husband. So is the PTA president. So is everyone. But Caroline soon realizes the true cause of her outburst can be traced back to something that happened to her as a teenager, a scarring betrayal by her best friend Emily. This act changed Caroline's life forever. So, with a little bit of bravery flowing through her veins, Caroline decides to go back to her home town and confront Emily. She busts her daughter Polly out of school, and the two set off to deliver the perfect comeback, which is twenty-five years in the making. But nothing goes as planned. Long buried secrets begin to rise to the surface, and Caroline will have to face much more than one old, bad best friend. A heartwarming story told with Matthew Dicks' signature wit, The Perfect Comeback of Caroline Jacobs is a deceptively simple novel about the ways in which our childhood experiences reverberate through our lives, and the bravery of one woman trying to change her life and finds true understanding of her daughter, and herself, along the way.

The man in the stories isn't always ready to learn the lessons the spirit of Wisdom has to offer.Ghost Talk is a collection of short stories. The stories are about interactions between an ordinary man and a ghost. The spirit is a whimsical character of charm and adventure. He loves animals and people. The ghost is the spirit of Wisdom. He openly shares his wit, wisdom and life lessons. The man in the stories isn't always ready to learn the lessons the spirit of Wisdom has to offer. Sometimes the spirit has to use a bit of creativity to get the message across to the more stubborn learners. The spirit of Wisdom is actually genderless. I labelled as him. The ghost's name is Wisdom, which I have written with a capital W. This capital does not imply that I consider the spirit of Wisdom to be God. I don’t. The capital W is to denote his name, just as if it was someone called Peter or Jack or Simon. His name is a noun, and I treat it accordingly. The stories told cover a variety of lessons from the spirit of Wisdom, including love, life, money and truth. Originally written to fit on the SMS format, the stories of the interactions the man has with the spirit of Wisdom has grown to a massive collection. These snippets of conversation with the spirit are born out of love; love for life and love for the world in which life happens.

The Last Umbrian

Not All werewolves are the same, some change shape, some grow claws and fangs but one, only one, the Umbrian can band them together. He will have to. The Hunters are becoming exceedingly good at killing werewolvesWhat makes a monster? Big Teeth? Huge Claws? Unfortunately for Jason he gets both when we becomes a lycan, the original werewolves. Not monsters that howl at the moon just people living in fear. Humanity has become exceedingly good at hunting them down and with the tensions with the new werewolves, shape shifters at an all time high things look bleak. Only an Umbrian may be strong enough to fight back, to reunite the two races but they have long gone, the last a child lost is their only saviour, a child that may just have been found.I would like to add that this is just rough writing and a couple of error may appear and any feedback would be really appreciated
