Although we are both happily building different network marketing businesses, that’s no reason not to be friends, and Natalie Heeley has become a really good mate.

Both of us are at the top of our respective businesses, but rather than spend time trying to pitch each other to join the other one’s business, we spend time sharing good practice, top tips, ideas, experiences, and acting as a sounding board for our respective challenges. It’s great to have someone who can offer you an alternative viewpoint who is entirely unattached to your own business.

I’m known for my ‘tips’ and here’s a freebie for you! Instead of trying to pitch other networkers, form an alliance with them and learn from each other, and this strengthens the entire profession.

So, I was aware that Natalie had become incredibly successful within her business and I was keen to learn more about how.

Every time we would speak, she would mention some bloke called Dave! “Dave this, Dave that, Dave, Dave, Dave!”

And then when I was invited to speak at an event with Natalie’s leaders I kept hearing the same name over and over again!

I just knew that I had to meet Dave! And so I did! Pretty soon, Dave O’Connor and I struck up a friendship, and I began to watch him closely to understand what his formula is for supporting so many network marketers in overcoming the obstacles that they put in their own way, and then send them off on the path to success.

It struck me that what Dave does not have is a magic wand, and nor does he bombard people with long words or hype.

What he does very well though is help those who have a dream for a better life and more choices through network marketing, start to unpick the mindset issues which have a terrible knack of standing in our path to glory and set about creating the right attitude, psyche and routines to overcome all the obstacles that can block us, and instead put us on the road to victory.

This book is a great opportunity for anyone looking to succeed in network marketing to learn from both the teacher, and his extremely successful student, and if everyone in your team has just 10% of the success that Natalie and many of her leaders have had, then you’ll all be delighted with the investment you have made in this book.

  Walt Disney said,

‘If you can dream it you can achieve it.’

  (Natalie)

It had taken me eight years but, as I stood on the stage in Singapore, in front of several thousand people, I knew that he was right.

  ‘Natalie Heeley, Number One…’

There was cheering and clapping. I knew that many of my team were in the audience along with my mum, who was responsible for getting me started in the world of Network Marketing. This was my dream – not for the title or for the accolade, but for everything that it represented. Being the Number One distributer in my country meant that I had overcome all my doubts and fears and that I had helped hundreds of people to achieve their own goals and, most importantly, I had secured the financial future for my children. My monthly income was now three times my previous annual salary as an account manager.

I glanced down. Rosie and Will were on the stage with me. We were in it together. They were my Why, the reason I had worked my socks off in Network Marketing for the past eight years. I did it for them, for us. To free us from mediocrity and debt. I did it so that they could get a private education and so that we, as a family, could travel all over the world.

I didn’t want our lives to be limited by lack of money and I wanted to teach them the importance of finding a vision, following your dreams and working hard to achieve them.

Seeing the pride and the awe in their faces, my own emotions began to overwhelm me. I tried to choke back the tears; I didn’t want to cry in front of the huge audience. I fought to regain control, to be professional and focus on the thrill and excitement of what my team and I had achieved.

The massive conference room fell silent, we all stared at the huge screen behind me as the next announcement was made.

The words sounded mumbled. My comprehension was numbed by my emotions. I blinked back more tears and tried to focus. Will and Rosie were clinging to me in excitement and the room went crazy.

Not only was I Number One in my country but incredibly I was now Number Three in the world.

I was shocked, overwhelmed, humbled and grateful.

My journey and my success was a tribute to so many other people who had helped me, encouraged me and, above all, believed in me. Without them I would still be stuck in debt, living a life that w
as safe but unfulfilled, full of doubt and facing an uncertain future.

This book is about how one of those people pulled me out of my comfort zone and helped me to rewrite my mental and emotional programming.

I call Dave O’Connor my mindset mentor.

Using his 21 steps, along with exercises and online blueprints you can retrain your brain and learn to live the life you deserve – the life you hardly dare to dream of.

I know that some of you will read about my success and my journey and think or say, ‘Wow, she’s lucky.’

And I am, of course I am. But in truth the only part that luck played was in the fact that I was introduced to Dave O’Connor and I began my mindset transformation with him. I like to think that if external forces hadn’t brought us together, I would have eventually sought him out. Either way, you now have the same opportunity that I had.

It’s easy to sit in a comfy chair and read my story, wishing that you could achieve the same level of success, while still clinging to the idea that you are not as lucky as I am and it couldn’t happen to you. It’s easy to indulge in envy and empty wishes and stay safely in your comfort zone.

But you are wrong – I haven’t won the lottery, everything I have achieved is replicable. Change your mindset, change your attitude, work smart and work hard. Be bold and brave and be prepared to embrace a whole new way of thinking.

The comfort zone is an illusion that should be renamed the fear or apathy zone. Sure, it seems like the safe place to be. You understand the world within these parameters, why would you want to risk stepping outside of it? You’ve heard stories about people who have tried new things, maybe risked starting a business, and failed. They lost their houses, their families maybe even their pet dog! Every failure will fill your head with doom and fear.

Of course, you’ve also heard a few stories, like mine, about those who have succeeded - but they were just the lucky ones, right?

  Wrong.

YOU can be as lucky as the people you envy.

Because luck itself is the illusion. Anyone, Everyone, including YOU can change your life and create the future you desire and deserve.

Start dreaming – step out of that comfort zone – let go of that heavy baggage containing all your doubts, fears and insecurities – Now is the time for action.

Open your mind and follow my story as Dave and I take you step-by-step through the process that changed my mindset and my life.

Warning – the material in this book along with the supporting online content has the power to change your life forever.

  Chapter One

  What is Your Vision?

Through lack of vision people perish

  * * *

  (Dave)

Success and happiness are not something that just ‘happen’ to some people and not to others – they are predictable results that have a structure and order and they are created by forming new habits of thinking, feeling and acting – ways I’ll be sharing with you in this book.

Anybody who has failed will tell you that success is all about luck – they are wrong, don’t listen to them. You have the power within you to succeed.

Positive change can happen in a moment. These days, phobias that used to take weeks to clear up can now be cleared in a few minutes. Most people can think of a time when their lives changed in just a few moments – perhaps it was meeting a certain type of person, or receiving information that you have heard many times before but which suddenly clicked with you when presented in a different way.

It doesn’t have to take a long time for change to occur – but you still have to be patient and know that once you are consistently moving forward in the direction of your dreams, then positive change and transformation is inevitable.

The techniques and processes that we go through on these courses are cutting edge and state of the art – offering the very latest software for improving your mind efficiently, combined with spiritual laws and universal principles that are old as the hills, yet still relevant and eternally effective – because the law is the law.

Every day you’ll make small changes. Changes that will at times seem insignificant to begin with. But you’ll continue to make progress and after a few months you will have made quantum leaps.

I began working with Natalie back in 2008. For many years I had been learning my craft and building up a following. I was getting good results from working with and helping people involved in Network Marketing. I wanted to expand and I was keen to help and develop people in the UK as well as in America. So I approached a top UK distributor in a leading Network Marketing company and offered my services.

‘I can help get your team motivated and refocused,’ I told her confidently.

She didn’t seem convinced, which was probably fair enough since she knew very little about me.

‘Why should I just take your word for it?’

‘You want me to prove it?’

  Clearly she did.

‘Ok,’ I said. ‘Give me five team members who are willing to commit to a ten minute conference call every morning for twenty-one days.’

She still didn’t seem totally convinced, but clearly it was an offer she couldn’t refuse. I got my five guinea pigs and one of them was Natalie Heeley. And so, at 9a.m. on a cold winter morning, we began our journey together.

They were all willing to listen to me every morning and each of them had already taken the first step out of their comfort zone and into their own business. My job was to take them to a whole new level of achievement. Make them believe that anything was possible and encourage them to commit to a new way of thinking.

Natalie and the others all had great potential, but like so many people it was buried beneath layers of fear and doubt.

I have spent most of my adult life studying, learning and practising self-improvement techniques. The fundamental question has to be:

WHY IS IT THAT SO FEW PEOPLE ACHIEVE THEIR AMBITIONS? WHY IS IT THAT THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE AT THE END OF THEIR LIVES EXPERIENCE THE PAIN OF REGRET AND UNFULFILLED DREAMS?

If you stand ten people in a line and give them all exactly the same opportunity to achieve something amazing, do you think each of them will perform and succeed to the same degree?

  The answer is no.

So the question is, why? Sure, there are lots of possible reasons - home circumstances, children, lack of time, lack of energy. But in truth, they are not reasons; they are excuses.

It is a sad fact that many, many men and women who sign up to a network fail to thrive. Yet, in that first moment when they signed on the dotted line, they must have wanted to achieve more. On some unconscious level they must have believed that they could attain their dream. Whether for them that meant a few hundred pounds extra in their pocket each month or complete financial freedom – briefly, they wanted more and believed they could achieve it. But at some point, often early on their new journey, they stumble, they stop and many get lost completely.

  So again – why?

Why do most people fail, not only in the world of Network Marketing but at the business of living?

Here are the biggest reasons why people fail: they have very low self-esteem, very low confidence in themselves or a lack of self-belief.

  MOST PEOPLE FAIL

  BECAUSE THEY ARE AVERAGE.

It’s not that they aim too high and miss, they aim too low and score.

We all have this incredible power inside of us. But instead of having an inbuilt success mechanism, we have an inbuilt failure and self-sabotage mechanism.

What should have been your greatest and most powerful asset is now your worst enemy and detrimental to your health and life. This is your chance to change, to become everything that you should be. Together we will unleash the power you have within yourself.

For the next twenty-one days we are going to be conditioning new responses, new actions and new ways of thinking that will absolutely change your life and propel you massively forward.

  We are going to tap
into your greatest power – commit to this over the next three weeks and you could change your life forever. Just like I did with Natalie when she was a guinea pig six years ago, I will take you step-by-step, day-by-day, into a new way of thinking. You will learn all sorts of new things; you will take new actions and form new habits.

  WHY 21 DAYS?

The most powerful actions that you take in your life are habitual. Positive & negative things that you do, they are a part of your subconscious mind. So what you want to do is habitualise empowering things in your life that will propel you massively forward. Concentrate on the positive and eliminate the negative.

Behavioural scientists tell us that it takes twenty-one days to form a new habit. A habit is defined as something that you do whether you have to think about it or not. Even though I believe, and have personally experienced, the forming of new habits in the blink of an eye, some researchers now say it takes between sixty-six and ninety days to form lasting habits. But personally, I have found that on average the three-week period is the optimum timeframe for significant shifts to take place.

So, together we will reprogramme you to be more positive, more energised and more successful. It all begins with a vision. You need to understand the incredible power of a clear, goal orientated vision. This is your trailer of the future you will create for yourself.

  (Natalie)

When Dave first came into my life, my expectations and my self-esteem were at a low point. I was unhappy at home and unfulfilled in my business. I knew I wanted more, I knew that I wanted TO BE more. Not surprisingly, I jumped at the chance to be mentored by a mind coach. I was willing to take any lifeline thrown my way and felt privileged to be chosen as a guinea pig.
