A New Start

A New Start is a compilation of two novellas: "Christmas in King's Gap" and "Home for Christmas". A New Start is a heart-warming tale of forgiveness, love and togetherness; stories about starting afresh, making amends and being with those you love during the holidays. Christmas in King's Gap: Jessica left the small town of King's Gap many years ago and vowed never to return, but a bad marriage and the fear of her ex-husband was enough motivation for her. With guilt and regret she moved into the house her mother left her when she died. Strange events started happening the day Jessica returned to King's Gap. Home for Christmas: Sarah left her family home to marry a man she thought loved her. She ignored her parents’ pleas and left the peace and security of small town life behind her, but she made a mistake. He didn’t love her, nor did he care about the kids that they raised together. He abused her, abused them, and now Sarah has no choice but to leave him and head back home, back to the peace, the security and the uncertainty. What will her parents think? Will they still accept her? Sarah arrives just before Christmas, landing on the doorstep of her former home and begging that her parents take her in. But she has been gone for a long time, things have changed, people have come and gone, and there are a few surprises in store for Sarah and her two children. **

I am loving her foray into the paranormal realm with Moonchuckle Bay. I like the idea of a place where paranormal can live in peace, and in the open, while tourists think it is all part of the town's movie productions. In this story, Amber is on the run from a deranged stalker. She follows her brother's last wishes to deliver a letter to his best friend, Samuel. Her brother has asked Samuel to protect her. A job that is not unpleasant for either of them. The romance was sweet, and funny, with a bit of suspense thrown in. Loads of fun! The Artist Cries Wolf was especially appropriate for the day after Halloween. I found myself wishing Moonchuckle Bay was a real town, just for all of the funny gimmicks that they have for the tourists. I will definitely be on the lookout for more books in this series. Content: clean (some kissing, mild violence, smelly trolls) You must read!! And I must re-read! (By Kindle Customer on November 2, 2016) I love Heather Horrocks, and this book is no exception, I like that you can see where its going without it being completely predictable. Such a great story line, I look forward to hearing more about these townsmonsters :) in Moonchuckle Bay. REVIEW OF BAH, HUMBUG (Christmas Street Romantic Comedy Christmas Novella #1): “This isn't a book; it’s magic. What could be a sappy Christmas story turns into a wonderful, magical, bring-the-family-together Christmas story. I wasn't merely reading Lexi and Kyle's story, I was there with them, being part of their story. I came up for breath only when I was done with the book (I read it at one sitting).

Everything to Me

Dana: I've always been the smart girl, the careful one. Not anymore. I feel reckless, desperate. I love him, and it's senior year, my last chance with him before I leave for college, so I'm going to take it. What could go wrong? Oh, my God, I had no idea. Peter: I've spent years trying to hide how I feel about her. It gets harder every day. For so long, she was my best friend, the first person who truly believed in me, sometimes the only one. Do I love her? Of course, I do. Can I let her get even deeper into the hellacious mess my life is? No way. You don't do that to someone you love.
