Singular Amours

Singular Amours is a collection of three novellas translated here for the first time and the fruit of the author’s interest in psychological science, and represents a significant contribution to the evolving subgenre of “case study” fiction. What Thiaudière calls “singular amours” explores unusual instances of passion, in the hope that the peculiarities of the phenomenon might be brought out more clearly by the contemplation of its extremes. The three examples offered in the book provide an interesting spectrum, from a fascinating account of a psychological haunting, to a study of obsessions couched as a mystery story, and a remarkable narrative of psychological dependency.

Healing Hearts (Stealing Hearts Book 2)

Some hearts were made to be stolen.Mark Mannix doesn't believe in love or romance, which is ironic given his birthday falls on Valentine's Day. As he approaches forty, Mark is perfectly content with his life and nursing career in Boston, and—outside of his long-time friend-with-benefits, Alistair—prefers his hookups to be one-night stands. When Mark's plans for New Year's Eve fall through, he attends his sister's party and meets Owen Todd, a graphic designer of Caribbean descent. Owen is more than a decade younger than Mark and, at first glance the two men appear to have little in common. The chemistry between them is potent, however, and Mark breaks his no-strings pattern, seeing Owen week after week.A connection forms between the two men, leaving Mark in uncharted territory and drawn to Owen in ways he's never known before. Even so, Mark continues his hookups with Alistair but is startled when Owen withdraws out of a desire to protect himself. His foundations shaken, Mark must decide if he can watch Owen walk away or … if the time has come to follow his heart in a new direction.

Devil's Bargain

One Night. His Rules. It's a Devil's Bargain. She calls it a devil's bargain. I call it a deal she can't refuse. I was owed a debt and I expected payment. That payment? One night in my bed. My rules. The debt cleared, and she could walk away. There are worse things. And besides, debtors can't be choosers. The night started as it should. She obeyed as she should. But then something happened. Something I was unprepared for. And what I saw changed everything. I broke my own rules after that. And I didn't keep my end of the bargain. Because walking away was no longer an option I would grant her, no matter the cost. Author's Note: Devil's Bargain is a Standalone Romance from the author of the Benedetti Brothers Mafia World and the Dark Legacy Trilogy.
