Logo t-shirts, glasses with frames 2 sizes too big,
and a hard-core love of ice cream and rock music.
That’s how I’d describe my best friend, Liam.
Back then, we were *inseparable.*
I took off to California with my new college boyfriend, Roger,
ready to get away from the dirt and cows in my podunk town
wanting to start a new life with him.
Fired, dumped, and evicted my life was reduced
to a box of cereal without any milk.
Nowhere to go except back home,
where I had left everything and everyone behind.
Athletic build, five o’ clock shadow and that
same of love of salted, caramel ice cream and music.
That’s how I’d describe Liam, *six years later.*
Except, he wasn’t my best friend anymore.
**AUTHOR NOTE:** This is different from the ULTRA SPICY contemporary romances I generally write. Although, there is some spice in this book it is mild and emphasizes more of the romance BUT this is definitely ** not** Christian or ultra sweet romance. If I would to label it, I would probably say it's a mesh of Chic Lit, Romantic Comedy and on the tame end of contemporary romance.
I still recommend you be 18+ to read this book due to the language and somewhat tame, adult scenes. Views: 516

"Exhilarating, like a swift ride through river rapids with a spunky, sexy gal handling the oars."—Washington Post Book World In Pam Houston's critically acclaimed collection of strong, shrewd, and very funny stories, we meet smart women who are looking for the love of a good man, and men who are wild and hard to pin down. "I've always had this thing for cowboys, maybe because I was born in New Jersey," says the narrator in the collection's title story. "But a real cowboy is hard to find these days, even in the West." Our heroines are part daredevil, part philosopher, all acute observers of the nuances of modern romance. They go where their cowboys go, they meet cowboys who don't look the part – and they have staunch friends who give them advice when the going gets rough. Cowboys Are My Weakness is a refreshing and realistic look at men and women – together and apart. Views: 516
