Tom Stroud, an aircraft enthusiast, with a contingent of mercenary Russian soldiers, recovers a World War 2 Hurricane fighter from the bottom of a lake in Karelia where it crashed when shot down in 1943. Tom finds a medallion originally struck by the Templars in the 13th Century in the cockpit, obviously the not-so lucky charm of the unfortunate pilot. The medallion is a 'key', though to what exactly he doesn’t know.
