In this dangerous game with time, someone's bound to lose.Seventeen-year-old Saige Phillips can’t help holding on to the hope that she’ll find Chloe, her twin who went missing five years ago. After all, Saige sees echoes of Chloe sitting in the window and skipping down the stairs. Though there’s never been any sound associated with Saige’s “hallucinations,” she’s freaked out by the breathing she hears in her bedroom. The breathing is definitely real, and it’s definitely not coming from Saige. It’s echoing through a time rift that originates in Saige’s bedroom. Then a grayed-out guy shows up, saying his name is Price and he’s from the future. He has the same blue film clinging to him that Saige has seen on Chloe, and she seizes onto the idea that her twin went through the rift. As Saige searches for answers in her time, she’s met with secret after secret, all coming back to one source: her physicist mother. Price lives in the year 2073 with his Time Keeper father and a whole slew of global initiatives that regulate time travel. He knows time shouldn’t be played with. What he doesn’t know is why the rift opened now, or how he can stop it. The deeper Price digs, the harder the truth is to swallow. His father willfully violating the global time travel initiative is one thing. Stealing the rift site from Saige’s mother is quite another. And kidnapping—or worse—to cover everything up takes things too far. When the rift begins to show signs of overuse and instability, Price is desperate to close it before it explodes while Saige will do anything to keep it open long enough to find Chloe. The love affair between Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett is one of the Victorian era's most famous romances. It was one of passions, tragedy, illness, and ultimately, endurance. The beginning of their relationship was luckily documented and preserved via their letters, which have been archived at Wellesley College since 1930. While these exchanges are some of the most popular reads for Victorian literature enthusiasts, Robert had more to say about the abstract idea of love.He continued to express his thoughts and feelings on the subject of romance, marriage, familial love and respect, unrequited love, loving thyself, and even friendship. Robert Browning On Love conveniently collects these thoughts, which have been previously published in Browning's poems, plays, and, of course, his letters to his beloved wife, Elizabeth. These include:Best be yourself, imperial, plain, and true."Take away love and our earth is a tomb."I was made and... "There is possibly nothing more frightening then a treasured dog (or any pet) escaping from a kennel. I know this for a fact. My first dog was nothing if not an escape artist. My Dad left him at a Vets because I don't really know why-but obviously Wags was feeling better, he dug under the enclosure and the next thing I heard was my Dad yelling at the Vet over the phone. While he was still yelling there was a bark from outside--It was Wags!! He really was an exceptional dog who had been taught (by my Dad) to look both ways before he crossed roads. I don't know who made it down those stairs to let him in faster, my Dad or me. We did change Vets after that!!
Well imagine going on a vacation and coming home only to find out that the cages on very expensive kennel where you had left your pet had been opened and all the pets had taken off. To make matters even worse--the owner of the kennel had been murdered! Kelly, with her fingers still crossed behind her back if only mentally promised Mike, her husband and the sheriff that she would not get involved. As it turns out there were four suspects----will the real killer be found?
And then there is Skyy--the champion German Shepard pup that was owned by the murdered kennel owner. Mike had told Kelly--NO MORE PETS--two dogs were more then enough. Kelly took the pup in anyway until they could find it a home------------
And of course all the recipes that Kelly prepares in the book can be found at the end of the book look really scrumptious!!"
