**Review
I found the writing delightful and the plot well researched! The story simply flowed along and I was very happy to flow along with it. I give Her Alaskan Hero a very well deserved 9 out of 10! And I cannot wait for the next book! ~Cara's Book Boudoir
My favorite part of the book was the colorful, quirky characters that make up the town of Gold Creek and the Forrester family. They really added a nice depth to the book and helped set the stage for Sabrina and Zak's love story. ~Em & M Books
If you like Alaska, Moose hunting, hot springs, cold weather, sitting in front of a beautiful roaring fireplace, Scrabble, yoga, politicians, paparazzi getting in the way, events with men in tuxedos, mushing, puppies and finding love then this might be for you. ~Kindle & Me
Her Alaskan Hero is the story of two people who are so different that they shouldn't work, but together they fill up the spaces and are perfect for each other. I would not hesitate in recommending this story to anyone who loves romance. ~Marsha @ Keeper Bookshelf Views: 68
In January 1918, the British adventurer, diplomat, and secret agent Robert Bruce Lockhart arrived in Revolutionary Russia. His official mission: Britain’s envoy to the new Bolshevik government. His true mission: to create a network of agents, plot the assassination of Lenin, and overthrow the Bolsheviks.A dashing charmer, he soon got to know the aristocratic socialite, hedonist, and notorious seductress Moura Zakrevskaya. The two fell in love and began a passionate affair. But what Lockhart didn’t know was that Moura was spying on him for the Bolsheviks. What Moura didn’t know was that, as Lockhart’s plot unraveled and he was seized, she would sell herself to save him from the firing squad. Fleeing to England, Moura discovered a life of exile, a string of new lovers — including Maxim Gorky and H. G. Wells — and playing off the Russian and British governments as she spied for both. Through all this she clung to the hope that Lockhart would finally be able to return to her. Deborah McDonald’s sensational retelling of Moura’s extraordinary life opens up a world of revolution and espionage where survival means sacrificing more than just love and loyalty. Views: 68

Quinn has great gifts!” — James Tiptree, Jr. “One of the most respected of the horror writers.” — Peter Straub Bio: A professional writer for more than forty years, Yarbro has sold over eighty books, more than seventy works of short fiction, and more than three dozen essays, introductions, and reviews. She also composes serious music. Her first professional writing - in 1961-2 - was as a playwright for a now long-defunct children's theater company. By the mid-60s she had switched to writing stories and hasn't stopped yet. After leaving college in 1963 and until she became a full-time writer in 1970, she worked as a demographic cartographer, and still often drafts maps for her books, and occasionally for the books of other writers. She has a large reference library with books on a wide range of subjects, everything from food and fashion to weapons and trade routes to religion and law. She is constantly adding to it as part of her on-going fascination with history and culture; she reads incessantly, searching for interesting people and places that might provide fodder for stories. In 1997 the Transylvanian Society of Dracula bestowed a literary knighthood on Yarbro, and in 2003 the World Horror Association presented her with a Grand Master award. In 2006 the International Horror Guild enrolled her among their Living Legends, the first woman to be so honored; the Horror Writers Association gave her a Life Achievement Award in 2009. A skeptical occultist for forty years, she has studied everything from alchemy to zoomancy, and in the late 1970s worked occasionally as a professional tarot card reader and palmist at the Magic Cellar in San Francisco. She has two domestic accomplishments: she is a good cook and an experienced seamstress. The rest is catch-as-catch-can. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with two cats: the irrepressible Butterscotch and Crumpet, the Gang of Two. When not busy writing, she enjoys the symphony or opera. Views: 68

Some people get a tattoo, a piece of art that enhances or reveals something about them that they like. Other people, like me, are branded by something, actions or words. "No one will ever love you, Rowan, you're not worthy." Those are the words that created my blemish, my scar, my mark upon my soul. They were words whispered by the woman who should have loved me most. But in the darkest moment of my life, one where I stood abandoned and alone, one man proved to me that she was wrong. When I desperately needed someone, MMA fighter Jackson Stone crashed into my life. He wasn't the one who should have been there, but he was exactly the person I needed He believed that only fools live in the past. He showed me that a real relationship is full of dreams, faith, trust and passion. He taught me that love is worth fighting for, even when it's unexpected and more of a collision of hearts and souls. He proved that the wrong man at the right moment can heal everything. Views: 68
