Cosmic Tales 4: The Unexpected Guest

On board his military vessel, General Dreadener is surprised by the unannounced return of a lifelong foe, prompting an emergency. This is a lovely book about two "premises managers" as it is now politically correct to call them, and how they love singing in the school that they work in.It has some lovely hand drawn illustrations in it, and it was written with love.I really enjoy writing, my daughter helps me sometimes, it blows away the cobwebs on rainy and wet sunday afternoons.I have just discovered mixing desks on my Ipad so I have been having fun trying to be the next David Guetta! Also, I have been making blackberry and apple crumble, and it is nearly time to make mince pies and christmas cake. Does anyone have any good recipes out there?

Longing for You

He once fought for her honor. This time, he's fighting for her heart. Theo McCabe has it all—a record deal, a future tour, and any woman he desires. Almost. In truth, the only person he's ever wanted is Cassie. Too bad a fight his senior year stole his chance to be with her. She never knew he'd fought to protect her or that any woman he'd met since would never be enough. Cassie Clarke doesn't believe in fairytales. Happily ever after didn't exist, and love was a four-letter word she refused to say. Besides, being single had its perks. So did working at a recording studio. Yet the moment she and Theo cross paths again, she can't help but feel drawn to him. Though Cassie doesn't want to fall for Theo, the more time she spends with him, the more she worries there's no turning back. Theo is desperate to have one night with Cassie, but doing so means risking more than his career. It means exposing his heart to the only woman who could break it. After all, he's not the only man in Cassie's life. Longing for You is the first installment in the Touched by Magic Series. If you like second chance romance novels blended with humor, heat, and hope, then you'll love Kelli McCracken's captivating look at finding love where you least expect it.

Rise of Dachwald

Epic-scale warfare, genocide, false flag attacks, and political intrigue sizzle the pages of this action thriller in a fantasy fiction setting replete with historical allegories. The Sodorfians and Dachwaldians love each other dearly. The way a cat loves a bath. The way a lion loves a hyena. The way a rattler loves to have its tail pulled.Epic-scale warfare, genocide, false flag attacks, and political intrigue sizzle the pages of this action thriller in a fantasy fiction setting replete with historical allegories. The Sodorfians and Dachwaldians love each other dearly. The way a cat loves a bath. The way a lion loves a hyena. The way a rattler loves to have its tail pulled. They thought they ironed out their differences during their last all-out war, but disturbing events are about to make that look like a lover's quarrel. When the Dachwaldians discover nearly all the crops in their country have been deliberately poisoned just days before harvest, they realize it's time to get rid of the Sodorfians once and for all. When the Sodorfians discover the remains of several hundred of their brave soldiers looking like they took a dive into a wood chipper, they believe a thank-you note is in order, one that must be hand-delivered by a one-hundred-thousand-man army. But the Dachwaldians have a trick or three up their sleeve that they feel will teach the Sodorfians victory isn't won by superior numbers alone. As these two lovebirds prepare for their encounter, they realize only one can walk away, as one will play the role of the female praying mantis and consume the other like a tasty morsel.Neither side realizes a puppet master sits behind the scenes, provoking each side to action against the other like a director of a well-rehearsed group of actors. A wild card sits uneasily in the puppet master's prison, as anxious to escape as the warden is to get rid of him. But a prophecy tells him he can't. Not until the play finishes.

Something About a Sword and a Stone?

Join Uther Pendragon jerkass; his advisor Merlin, who's even worse; his knights Sir Ulfius and Sir Brastias, the Old Firm; and young Arthur, King of the Britons, and actually a pretty okay guy! This comic retelling of the first two books of Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte D'Arthur also descibes Sir Balin and his weird quest to strike the Dolorous Blow and die tragically. It's a hoot and a half!DID YOU KNOW:Sir Balin, the knight who delivered the dolorous stroke, was so stupid half of Camelot assumed it was an act to cover for his witchcraft? Sir Gawaine was a whiny little brat who demanded unlimited special treatment on account of he was King Arthur’s nephew? Arthur only married Guinevere to get his hands on her dowry, the Round Table? Nobody liked Merlin because he was terrible? If you did know all those things, clearly you’ve read Le Morte d’Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory, and I pity you. No one should have to slog through that pile of continuity errors and insipid descriptions of jousts. I’ve spent years of my life poring over all twenty-one Books of this foundational work of fantasy literature, dreadful as it is. Here, for your amusement and edification, I recount, dissect, and ruthlessly mock each ridiculous plot contrivance, each self-contradictory anecdote, and each unnamed damsel who runs in from offscreen and dies.Arthur Dies at the End volume 1: Something About a Sword and a Stone? covers Books I through III of Le Morte d’Arthur. Here you’ll find King Arthur’s earliest days, from the hilarious and rape-filled account of his conception to the bit with the sword in the stone we all remember to his first war to his loveless wedding to Guinevere and his nephew Gawaine’s very first quest (he screws it up pretty bad)!ARTHUR DIES AT THE END: I read Le Morte d’Arthur so you don’t have to!
