Rebirth

Nicolette Shue has to start over after years of teenage rebellion led to jail-time. What she doesn’t anticipate is a foray into the unpredictable world of horse racing, with a fiery young jockey at her side.Fresh-out-of-jail miscreant, twenty-five year old Nicolette Shue returns to the Virginia ranch where she'd spent part of her childhood. She has her share of a life insurance payout, yet what stretches before her is a desolate future: her parents are dead, her siblings are away at boarding school, and she has no useful skills for employment. Her friend Mulder suggests horse racing and though Nicolette thinks it's a farfetched idea, she buys a horse anyway. She didn't count on Jockey Lydia Ferguson being part of the deal. Lydia is bold, quick-tempered, and reminds Nicolette of herself. Nicolette wants to restore order in her life, but when an old enemy from her past surfaces he is egged on by Lydia's taunts. Nicolette fears she has made another big mistake. Is it really worth the gamble to bet on a volatile jockey? Or to pour what little she has into an unproven horse? An even bigger challenge is masking the growing attraction she feels for Lydia. REBIRTH is an unfolding tale about self-emergence.

Titus Andronicus (Dover Publications)

A triumphant general returns to Rome from a war against the Goths and descends into a vicious circle of revenge by refusing to show mercy to his conquered enemy. Blood begets more blood in Titus Andronicus, a fictional drama drawn from a tale by Ovid. Shakespeare styled this early play in the manner of a "revenge tragedy," a genre rooted in classical theater and enormously successful with Elizabethan audiences. Enacting grotesque incidents of rape, murder, and mutilation, this daringly experimental play explores the nature of justice and vengeance.Critical judgment of the drama ranges from dismissal as a panderer's concession to a bloodthirsty mob to praise as a skillful treatment of theatrical violence that examines suffering through the experience of art. DIchotomies: Poetry From Bipolar Disorder

Poetry from the insane world of bipolar disorder type II.Poetry from the insane world of bipolar disorder type II. Over the 4 decades I have lived with this disorder I have found that sometimes it overflows me and just needs to get out before I lose my mind. The poetry contained herein is the result. This book contains poems written from the depths of bipolar depression and the heights of mania. It is my hope that they may shed some light on what it is like to live with such insanity. It is also my hope that others who suffer with a mental disorder may find some common ground here and that it will help them to realize that they are not alone with it. Humans are by nature social creatures and to be so alone with such a monster is the absolute worst state that a human heart can find itself in. I titles it "Dichotomies" because that is exactly what bipolar disorder is - one huge dichotomy.
