Insidious

Dark desires…Deadly secrets…Devious deceptions…Nothing is exactly as it seems in INSIDIOUS, the new erotic thriller from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig. When a powerful man is willing to risk everything for his own satisfaction, only one woman can beat him at his own game: his wife. Or so she thinks… “Let’s start with you calling me Stewart. Formalities seem unnecessary.” Stewart Harrington is rich, gorgeous, and one of the most powerful men in Miami. He always gets what he wants. Anything is available to him for the right price. Even me. Being the wife of a mogul comes with all the perks, but being Mrs. Stewart Harrington comes with a few special requirements. I’ve learned to keep a part of myself locked away as my husband watches me submit to his needs. But the more he demands of me, the more beguiled he becomes and that’s to my advantage. So I keep fulfilling his fantasies and following his rules because he doesn’t know that what he’s playing is really my game. And winning is everything, right? Insidious is a stand-alone novel and the first Tales from the Dark Side title. Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only.

Silken Slippers and Hobnail Boots Surviving the Decline and Fall

A collection of articles to simplify a wide variety of subjects about the present and future of the United States. It’s about clarifying and simplifying complex issues involving our evolution into an almost bankrupt, stagnant welfare state now being challenged by hungrier, aggressive, more productive nations. Many people form opinions from brief television bits crafted by biased “news” media, or merely from previous opinions. These articles cut through the complexities and misconceptions to simplify a variety of important, unclear issues. The public has been suckered into giving up their opportunity to achieve and prosper in exchange for free lunches and subsidies paid by others, creating a less productive, stagnant and almost bankrupt welfare state. In the process, the citizens and states have permitted big, expensive governments to rob us of many of our constitutional rights. We have become dependents of the career politicians, ensuring their re-election. Our savings will be wiped out by inflation, and our children and grandchildren must pay our bills.

Serving the Reich

After World War II, most scientists in Germany maintained that they had been apolitical or actively resisted the Nazi regime, but the true story is much more complicated. In Serving the Reich, Philip Ball takes a fresh look at that controversial history, contrasting the career of Peter Debye, director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics in Berlin, with those of two other leading physicists in Germany during the Third Reich: Max Planck, the elder statesman of physics after whom Germany's premier scientific society is now named, and Werner Heisenberg, who succeeded Debye as director of the institute when it became focused on the development of nuclear power and weapons. Mixing history, science, and biography, Ball's gripping exploration of the lives of scientists under Nazism offers a powerful portrait of moral choice and personal responsibility, as scientists navigated "the grey zone between complicity and resistance." Ball's account of the different...

Panic Over Metropolis

What makes a man super? What makes him think he is a superman? What makes him think he IS Superman?Find out along with Clark Kent.THE ZOMBIE KILLERS: ORIGINSBearAugust 4thWe were down along the river checking over some of the old buildings that are perched on the cliffs there, high above the water. Fall was not far away, and we knew we had to get moving, get out of this dead city. We had half the country to cross and find a place before winter came back around again. We had left the others in our place off the park - an abandoned factory building I had found after I had lost Donita - and struck out looking for food earlier that morning. With the park and its crowds so near to us, the shops and small stores for blocks around us were stripped clean. Another reason to get out of the city. It was time. I remember thinking that as I walked along.I was thinking back to March as I walked. Not really paying attention to the walk, where I was going... March... Just a few months ago, but the world was still the world then. And for the next little while there, we didn't even know about the dead. Dead was still dead. When you closed your eyes for the long eternal sleep you didn't wake up a short minute later as something else. No. We were ignorant up until they decided to come after us. Ignorant. Stupid. Didn't know a thing. Didn't have a clue. I had been in Central Park a few days after the first earthquakes hit. I had left Donita alone and went down on my own to see what the deal was. I found out nothing. No one knew any more than any one else. There was a lot of speculation, but that was it. There had been earthquakes. It had rained hard for nearly twenty four hours straight. The really freaky stuff hadn't happened yet. We were just starting down our new path, but what was clear was that thousands of people had died in the city, maybe more than thousands, maybe a million or more. And certainly millions if the damage here was the same across the country... or worldwide. And my initial estimate turned out to be a kind. In the city alone: collapsed buildings, fires, exposure to the elements because there was no shelter. There were millions of bodies. It was not so bad in those first few days, but a few days later, when the smell of the dead rotting under the rubble began, it was horrible. The diseases started then too. And the diseases took thousands more, and we thought that was the end of it, but it was not. The dead came next. The same dead, newly risen to some other sort of life. But that day in Central Park I did not know about the dead yet. I had no idea what was ahead; what was before me was bad enough...The Zombie Killers are the men and women who keep the new settlements safe for the other Earth's Survivors. Those in the Nation and those in the Fold, and the many independent colonies that would not be able to exist without their help and intervention. They are the ones who search out supplies, fight the Zombie Plagues and live in the constant danger of the real world so that the others can live in the safety of their settlements. In this first book they come into their own as a team and set themselves on the true course that they will follow from then on, with one mission only: To wipe out the Zombie Plagues infesting the world and make it a safe place to live and die once more. Whether through fighting them or finding the reason and the cure for the Zombie Plagues that have infested the world.

G-TRAX Devo's-Relationships: Say What?

Have you ever said something to someone that you wish you take back? James 3:6 says that the "tongue is a fire". We've all had those moments when we've said something that hurt someone we care about. Once the words are out of your mouth it's impossible to take them back.Sorta like when you open your mouth your tongue shoots out of your mouth, lands about 15 feet in front of you and slithers awayImagine that God allowed you to take a trip to heaven and tour His palace. Somehow you were transported to heaven. There you stood at the doors to His palace. They looked pretty cool. You knocked on the door and God opened it up and said to you, “Welcome, . I have been expecting you. I understand you want a tour of my palace”. You are just a little shaky, Okay, you are like really totally freaked out because you are standing in the presence of God. You try to answer Him but the words aren’t coming out quite right. “Uh. . . Yeah. . . Duh. . . How. . . Uh. . Um. . are you?. . . I am f...fine. I’d lllike to take a loo...loo...look around.” After you finally get those words out, He starts leading you down a long white hallway with hundreds of doors on each side. As you walk past the rooms you read the signs over the doors. “Angel Parts Room . . . Fish Parts Room . . . Shrubbery Design Room . . . Things that Have Furry Tails Design Room . . . Furry Tails Closet. . .Linens. . . Bathroom #999999999999999999999999991. You keep walking and pass a “You’re Here” map, showing where you are in God’s huge palace. You continue to walk and read the signs over the doors. Archangel Michael’s Room . . . Lucifer’s Room (now a storage closet) . . . Extra Planets Storage Room. . . Orphan Moons Room . . . Galaxy Designs that didn't work Room . . . Human-Type-People Design Room.James 3:6 says that the "tongue is a fire...It corrupts the whole body, and sets the whole course of one’s life on fire". Sounds Kinda scary. Sounds like the tongue can cause a lot of bad stuff. We've all had those moments when we've said something that hurt someone we care about. Once the words are out of your mouth it's impossible to take them back. Sorta like when you open your mouth your tongue shoots out of your mouth, lands about 15 feet in front of you and slithers away like an inch worm. And no matter how hard you try to catch it you can't catch it. Just like words that you shouldn't have said
