Imp

Demon young are cruel, especially to little imps like Az.  No matter where she hides, even deep in the swamplands, her siblings eventually find her and hurt her, ripping off her scales and slicing her wings.  Many demons don’t live to adulthood.  Only the strong survive.  And the clever. Survival isn’t looking probable for Az, with eldest brother, Paquit, determined to rip her to shreds at every opportunity.  When her other brother, Dar, proposes a trip through the angelic gates into the land of the humans, she jumps at the chance.  Finally, a fun adventure safe from Paquit’s cruelty and attacks.  Or maybe not. Imp is a prequel novella to the Imp Series.  It features the demon Samantha Martin as a juvenile, before she became Sam – a kind of young adult story for demons.  The first book in the series, A Demon Bound, and the second, Satan’s Sword, are available in both paperback and a variety of e-formats.

The Annotated Collected Poems

Edward Thomas wrote a lifetime's poetry in two years. Already a dedicated prose writer and influential critic, he became a poet only in December 1914, at the age of 36. In April 1917 he was killed at Arras. Often viewed as a 'war poet', he wrote nothing directly about the trenches; also seen as a 'nature poet', his symbolic reach and generic range expose the limits of that category too. A central figure in modern poetry, he is among the half-dozen poets who remade English poetry in the early 20th century.Edna Longley published an earlier edition of Thomas's poetry in 1973. Her work advanced his reputation as a major modern poet. Now she has produced a revised version, which includes all his poems and draws on freshly available archive material. The extensive Notes contain substantial quotations from Thomas's prose, letters and notebooks, as well as a new commentary on the poems. The prose hinterland behind Edward Thomas's poems helps us to understand their depth and complexity,...

Will he follow his heart and marry Tara, or go through with his obligation to his fiancee? Will Muldoon succeed in destroying Tara's future?"A Song Across the Sea" is a richly detailed story full of memorable characters, suspense and passion. Set in the early part of the 20th century, it captures both the simple, rugged life on a farm in rural Ireland and the excitement of vaudeville and Broadway in the early days of the 20th century."A Song Across the Sea" is approximately 117,000 words long.Excerpt:Suddenly Reece was beside her, a dark form silhouetted by the distant lights from the mansion. They came together breathlessly as the mermaids in the stone fountain looked on. In his arms at last, Tara finally knew the end of a long, bitterly felt hunger. There was no strangeness in his kiss, although it had been so long since their last one. It was the familiar, waking dream she’d been living ever since she met him. After a long time, Reece said: “There are some things you must know, Tara.”Praise for "The Rosebud Burglar" by Shana McGuinn:“The exciting plot is well formed and believable, especially given the mindset of Raine, and her desperation to return to her former wealthy and privileged lifestyle.”-Nancy in the U.S.“Couldn’t put it down.”-Ruby in the U.K.

Play Something Dancy

Play Something Dancy - The Tragic Tales of a Strip Club DJ. Los Angeles-based comedian, radio DJ, and host of the Sick and Wrong Podcast, Dee Simon has written a collection of comical and gut-wrenching personal essays about his experience as a strip club DJ in San Francisco in the early 2000s. Most of the stories in the book concern sex, drugs, venereal disease, and diarrhea or a combination thereof. Therefore, if you lack a sense of humor or are easily offended, you should probably put this one down. Having the “wet dream” job of most adolescents, Simon offers a biting, realistic, and hilarious depiction of what goes on “behind the black velvet curtains” at a gentlemen’s club from the perspective of the guy upstairs with the cheesy voice spinning Def Leppard songs. "I started reading and got hooked. Excellent writing, funny and entertaining."Brian Moreland, Bestselling Author of Dead of Winter and Shadows in the MistAbout the AuthorDee Simon is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He lived in San Francisco where he hosted Rampage Radio, a metal and punk rock radio show on KUSF 90.3 FM. During that time, he also worked as a strip club DJ in gentlemen’s clubs located across the city. In 2006, he started up his own comedy podcast called Sick and Wrong Podcast which is recorded on a weekly basis. Currently, Dee lives in Los Angeles where he is pursuing a career as an author, comedian, and cruise ship magician. Play Something Dancy is Dee Simon’s first book.
