Two bestselling novels by author Joanne Clancy. The Wedding Day:Nicole Baxter's carefully planned life is unceremoniously turned upside down when she gets jilted at the altar by the so-called love of her life! She must learn to live and love all over again and decides to open her heart and mind to new people and possibilities. Slowly, she begins to realise that getting lost was the best way to find herself. My Love:Is there such a thing as love at first sight? Can love be measured? My Love is a personal collection of essays about life, love and dating.Reviews for The Wedding Day:Another great book from this author!Joanne Clancy has written a beautiful tale of true love, enduring love, and the power of forgiveness. A very sweet, satisfying story with a happy ending! ~ Cathy DI really loved this book. The setting and characters were great. The story line was perfect. First time I read this author and will read her other books. Pick this book up today. ~ A.RodThis is a magical book, compressed into a magical area of Ireland, and set in one of my favourite cities, Cork in the deep south west of that magical countryIt spans the emotional lives of two people and their families and friends, and starts with an emotional disaster and ends with reconciliation and love. Using a deliberately small palette, Joanne Clancy has delineated a story which can go round the world, with implications and connections to anywhere in the world. So if you are fascinated by the myriad strands of human emotion, love and despair, hatred and disappointment, turning back to human warmth, buy this book. ~ John WalkerReviews for My Love:Wow!! This book was so not what I expected from the title! I was expecting some sort of love story but was pleasantly surprised by some of the best love and relationship advice I've ever read.Having just gone through a divorce, a lot of the book really hit home for me. It's written in a conversational tone, like a girlfriend telling you what's what. It's common sense but the kind you don't think of for yourself while you're going through a situation. Joanne delivers the advice with personal anecdotes from her own life and you immediately remember the same thing happening to you.The book itself is preceded by essays, including one which literally made me sob out loud. I won't say any more about that...it's something you have to read for yourself. My opinion? Every woman from 15 to 85 should read and take this book to heart. It probably wouldn't hurt a few men I know to read it either!! ~ Jerrilynn AthertonIt was amazing. I wasn't sure what I was expecting going into this book since its called "My Love". I thought it would be about mushy love stories I think orginally. It's not at all. I hate to say it is a book for women, but I feel most of my female friends would enjoy reading this book. It was insightful, and inspiring at times. The beginning was a good lead into what the book would be about and helps set the tone for the book. I sat down and read this book on breaks and lunches at work and when I got home I sat down and finished it. I got a few pointers to take away from this book about myself, and I can honestly say I am taking some of this stuff to heart and going to try to apply it to my life.I am looking forward to eventually reading more of Joanne's work and hopefully that will be soon. ~ Ashley Views: 13

A biologist reveals the secret world hidden in a single square meter of forest.
In this wholly original book, biologist David Haskell uses a one- square-meter patch of old-growth Tennessee forest as a window onto the entire natural world. Visiting it almost daily for one year to trace nature's path through the seasons, he brings the forest and its inhabitants to vivid life.
Each of this book's short chapters begins with a simple observation: a salamander scuttling across the leaf litter; the first blossom of spring wildflowers. From these, Haskell spins a brilliant web of biology and ecology, explaining the science that binds together the tiniest microbes and the largest mammals and describing the ecosystems that have cycled for thousands- sometimes millions-of years. Each visit to the forest presents a nature story in miniature as Haskell elegantly teases out the intricate relationships that order the creatures and plants that call it home.
Written with remarkable grace and empathy, "The Forest Unseen" is a grand tour of nature in all its profundity. Haskell is a perfect guide into the world that exists beneath our feet and beyond our backyards. Views: 13
Twenty yearsSix presidential electionsTwo brothersOne consuming love affairFor Lucy Jones, the distinction between love and politics is hazy at best. Both can be all-consuming, and either can lead to a heart-breaking loss or an exhilarating win. Whatever the case, if you're seen as a loser, you probably are one. Lucy first learns this lesson in 1988, when she's a shy girl, battling a high school bully and rooting for Dukakis. Through the years Lucy will experience stunning victories and agonizing defeats as she makes the choices that define her. Meanwhile, she also struggles to define her relationship with Monty, who comes in and out of her life like the changes in public opinion. Is Monty simply a one-night stand, a kindred spirit, or the love of her life? And by 2008, can he offer her a change to believe in?Over the course of twenty years and six presidential elections, Lucy grows and adjusts with the times. Filled with snarky political and pop-culture references, November Surprise is about the journey we take to believe in a candidate, in love, and in ourselves.November Surprise is a companion piece to Campaign Promises, which is free on Amazon. They can be read in either order. *WARNING - the political views expressed in this book are fiercely liberal. If you're a conservative, be prepared for your blood to boil.Review"Well developed and spotlessly executed... Bravo to Laurel Osterkamp for yet another chick-lit title that charms the reader, and leaves us rooting for Lucy and Monty as if they were friends of our own." -Keri English for IndieReader.com Views: 13
