Scott is 5' 10", broad-shouldered and a British Royal Air Force multi-skilled aircraft technician and engineer. He is highly experienced in the work he enjoys and is frequently trained in the black-arts of attack and defence. His intensive training is to be purposefully useful for the dangers he is about to face, both on Earth and Mars.
In the prequel to this book, An Alien Affair, he has already used his military expertise to destroy a Grey Empire galactic cruiser and its servile crew in order to survive a life-threatening ordeal. He knew he had to win the battle as his colony lover, a six-foot tall blonde and beautiful woman called Frell, and the pilot of her spaceship named Drang, were both at risk as he was himself. He loves this woman as she does him, although the memory of their passionate liaison is completely removed from his memory after each meeting. She loves Scott with all her heart and now she owes him her life. He is already the father to a daughter from a previous encounter and now there needs to be another from this most recent abduction. She is finally heading home, with the memory of their passion but also sad at leaving him - again. She has the makings of another child within her, while Scott has been repositioned back from where he was lifted. Frell has her own agenda and has taken the required steps to leave him with...knowledge. It proves to be in her favour, in a way she could never have imagined. Having destroyed the Grey ship they have earned themselves the distinction of being the most wanted humans in the Grey-owned cosmos. The Grey Empire does not understand the meaning of losing, whereupon they now deviously plan to trap them. This is where, An Alien Rescue, begins.
After depositing Scott at his wild campsite, they begin their return to their Mothership. This is when Frell and Drang are compromised by the Greys, captured before leaving Earth's solar system. Their absence is reported and their secret off-Earth colony is anxious for their safety - fearing the worst. Scott is contacted by members of the same colony as they need his expertise, skills and knowledge to locate their missing crew and friends. Following his recalled secret life, his resurrected memories are used not only to influence his decision in joining the rescue mission but also to give him the determination and the mental strength to save them all.
The Grey's have a secret base on Mars, a planet where ferocious living fossils have survived desiccation and extinction in deep subterranean lakes. They are the carnivorous survivors of a ruined past that thrived with life on the red planet that was once green and blue. An aged US Marine, abducted from the jungles of the Vietnam war, is discovered; but why has he been kept prisoner for so many lonely years? This once-upon-a-time soldier is on the brink of a mental breakdown, but his discovery by the rescue team assists his recovery, allowing him to use his military experience in a way the United States Marine Corps could never have imagined.
Earth too has a secret Grey base, where UFO sightings are frequent. On this particular occasion, a US nuclear submarine is perted from its secret mission to observe what may be happening. Earth's last secret base holds many answers concerning Earth's past. Scott is bewildered by all that he learns with each and every discovery, all adding to his growing determination to destroy the Grey Empire. He is a man on a mission, a lethal machine looking for a fight.
The Greys consider humans to be likened to a virus, stupid and animal-like in their behaviour and habits. They have underestimated Scott's abilities for this reason and will pay for their misguided error. He is a different kind of biological weapon. He's like a walking time bomb and set to explode.
