Her Mother's Daughter

Sisters Bay and Tansy grew up side-by-side in Louisbourg, Cape Breton, but were complete opposites. Bay, a quiet homebody, stayed in Louisbourg and lived with her mother and her daughter, Ashley. Alone ever since she was widowed at a very young age, Bay's closest thing to a love interest is her friend Dermot, who has been trying to break through her barriers for years. Wild, beautiful, restless Tansy, on the other hand, left town suddenly as a teenager and stayed away for years, even when Bay and Tansy's mother died. Her life has been glamorous, luxurious, and lonely. And now, Tansy is home. Home, and unwittingly falling in love with her sister's almost-boyfriend. Home, and befriending Ashley when all Bay can do is fight with her now-teenage daughter. Home, and desperately hiding the real reason she fled all those years ago. When Ashley becomes pregnant, the sisters draw closer together in order to help her. But the closer you dare, the harder it is to keep secrets, and when Tansy's darkest secret comes to light, it threatens to shatter what's left of her family forever. Complex and heartwarming, Her Mother's Daughter is an exploration of family and friends and the tangled skeins of love, mistakes, and secrets twisting between us all. Includes a reader's guide and interview with the author.

Love, Lust and Conspiracy

Shemales, TGirls, Transgender: Whatever label you use, this is a story about one such struggle on the way to happiness.NOTE: This adult erotic story about a young man's feminization contains graphically sexual scenes and mild violence - For openminded adults only. Are soul-mates meant to find each other or does fate have the final choice?Chastity devices, bondage, oral, anal, teasing, and strap-on are just some of the loving games they play as Kim becomes Kimmy. When Kari saw him on stage singing so beautifully, her heart melted and she just had to meet him but Kim had a secret. It was "lust" at first sight, soon followed by love, by strong emotions and by revelations of deeply hidden desires and fears. As they opened up to each other it became clear they belonged together as a perfect match. She encouraged him, taught him, helped his inner girl blossom and he taught her that she could be loved completely, absolutely and without reservation. Life was suddenly wonderful... until... they disrupted the illicit business of homicidal smugglers bent on kidnapping and killing anyone who might get in their way. There was no place to run and suddenly, their very lives were at stake. From the AuthorAfter speaking at a recent book club meeting I was cornered by Karen, their newsletter reporter, for a one-on-one interview. Here's a partial transcript she sent me of our conversation.Karen:   RH, a lot of our members couldn't be here today and I know they'll want to read how you created such a unique entertaining story. You mentioned it was from real people and real events so tell me, who are the people upon whom you based "Love, Lust and Conspiracy"?RH:         No, no, no, can't do that. I promised I would never identify them so all I can say is that they are both as genuine and beautiful as described in my book. But don't forget, this is a work of fiction.Karen:   That's disappointing but okay, fair enough. I see you've written thrillers, adventure and many technical genres so why did you now choose to write this erotic romance?RH:         Well, this story includes some very real and serious personal problems that no one ever wants to talk about. Kim was mentally a girl in a boy's body and Kari could never bear children. They both felt defective and believed no one could ever truly love or even accept them. I think everyone wants love on some level and, in this case, they were lucky. They found each other. If you could have ever just seen them together, how they treat each other, the way they look at each other and hold each other, your heart would melt and you'd envy two gorgeous people deeply in love. Theirs is a beautiful story and to tell it was a work of joy.Karen:   Ha, well, judging from all the member comments today, it must have been. Between what you wrote and the way you spoke about it today, I think you mesmerized everyone in here. How did you get to know them so well, I mean, the passion, the love, that kidnapping scene, even to the point of describing their sexual encounters in such detail? .....We continued deiscussing the humor, suspense, sex and drama but this story is really about that rare thing we call love.
