“I’ll be right back,” he said and he was, carrying a vibrant wrap for her and wearing a similar wrap tied around his waist.

Alison made a makeshift sundress from her wrap by tying it around her chest under her armpits.

Clifford was also carrying two champagne glasses which he filled.

  He toasted, “To us.”

When Harold and Britanny joined them, they were wearing similar cover-ups. Clifford went and retrieved more champagne and glasses.

The fucking was not over for the night. After the second bottle of champagne, the limo returned with a catered meal of local seafood delicacies.

Time became irrelevant as the days passed. Food appeared when it was needed. The supply of champagne seemed endless and platters of shrimp and lobster and caviar were always attractively arranged and in the fridge for hungry snackers.

The fucking never seemed to diminish either. They screwed, ate, listened to music, screwed some more, drank champagne and played in the pool.

They talked, each couple getting to know each other better and more intimately.

Somewhere in the middle of the week, Alison woke up and discovered that Clifford was out of bed. She sat up and looked around the room. She listened carefully but heard no sound of anyone moving around in the villa.

She got out of bed and pulled the wrap around her, tying it over her breasts. She padded to the window and looked out. She saw the moon shining on the turquoise water and she saw Clifford standing near the pool, looking out over the water.

It seemed redundant to have the pool with the beach just a few hundred feet away. Suddenly she felt a wistful wave of nostalgia and loss. This was a dream that she did not want to end.

It wasn’t just the sex and the champagne. It was the easy companionship they had.

She realized that the atmosphere was pure fantasy and that was likely a large part of the whole emotional response she was having. But she was pretty sure she was falling in love.

Alison tried to imagine hanging out with Clifford in her place, with her regular life going on around her and to her surprise she realized that it would be just as good. Maybe there would not be a constant supply of caviar and champagne but the conversation and the cuddles and sex would be there.

She stood in the window watching Clifford looking out over the sea and she wondered what he was thinking. She felt a scary moment of loneliness. What, she wondered, if he was thinking about going home early because he was bored?

Clifford came back in the house and went back upstairs. When he entered the bedroom, he saw that Alison was awake.

  “Did I wake you?”

  She shook her head, “no.”

“I was looking at the moon.”

  “So was I,” she admitted

“I don’t want this to end.”

  “Me either. “

“Do you have to go back to work on Monday?”

“I said I would be there.”

  “Can you give them notice?”

“If I had another job, I would.”

“Would being my wife be the kind of job you would accept?” That was what Clifford wanted to say. Instead, he said, “well we have a few more days to enjoy this place.”

Time did not have meaning and day and night were both beautiful on the private island.

On Friday, Clifford apologized for having to do a little bit of business. The women went out to the deck and left Clifford alone to do his work, whatever it was and Harold stayed with him. The low rumble of their voices wafted in the background but the women could not hear their words.

Britanny said, “Imagine us, here. It’s paradise.”

  “I’ll never forget this place.”

It rained that night, great torrential pouring rain with drops bigger than either woman had ever seen. The rain crashed down all night long. There was thunder and lightning and wind.

In the morning, the world was fresh and green and sparkling like the night-time storm never happened.

Clifford asked over breakfast if the women could get another week off soon. Britanny confessed she worked as a temporary worker in offices and she could set her own hours.

  Alison said she could.

“Then let’s stay another week and see what adventures unfold,” Clifford said. He did not tell them that he was making arrangements to buy the island but he thought it would make a perfect wedding gift for Alison.

Bigger Girls Do It All Night Long – Book 4

  One

Georgia and Kate were night shift workers. Actually they were registered nurses who worked the night shift. Eleven p.m. until seven a.m. five days a week.

It was not always the same five days but they usually had two nights in a row off. Their friends had this notion that because they had two nights off they were free to do daytime things on those days.

Their friends were wrong. Because they were nurses, they knew that interrupted sleep patterns are not healthy. A person’s body gets used to a certain rhythm and sleeping for five days and then switching to sleeping for two nights was a serious interruption.

If they always had the same two nights off, it might have been worthwhile thinking about but the idea of working until seven a.m and then being up all day and trying to go to sleep at eleven at night was too exhausting to think about.

Because of this and because they were good friends outside of work, they developed a routine of going out on their night off. They frequented a few favorite restaurants and all night movie theaters.

One of their favorite restaurants had changed ownership and the new chef was not up to their standards. It was not just a change in the ingredients and spices. He was just a bad cook. Food was overdone or underdone.

The servings were skimpy too. That was not the cook’s fault. The owner was cutting corners in ways that made the meals less than pleasing.

This was an opportunity for the women to go searching for a new place to eat.

There were not a lot of restaurants that were open all night or even until three a.m. So it did not take long until they went through the three that they had not already tried.

These were three new restaurants that had started up in the past four years. The women were surprised that they had been eating at the same places for four years without looking for something different.

Georgia, who was the taller of the two plump ladies, was the meeker of the two. She found it difficult to be comfortable in one of the three new restaurants because it was what she called “a date place” where the lights were dim and the tables spaced well apart.

“I just feel like we’re out of place there.”

Kate liked the restaurant and said so. She was plumper than Georgia but she insisted that she only looked plumper because she was five foot two and Georgia was five foot eight.

“We weigh the same,” Kate said.

“How do you know? I never tell you my weight.”

“The scales can keep track of the last weight measured and it never tells me that I gained or lost when I get on them after you do.”

Georgia frowned and argued but then they decided to try it out. Georgia got on the scale and then picked up the cat and got on them again and the scales said that she had gained twelve pounds.

Kate got on them immediately after and was told she had lost twelve pounds.

They agreed that they did weigh the same and figured that made sense because they ate identical meals most of the time.

Once in a while, they had an old familiar conversation. Were they missing out on life with their work schedule. The only friends they had were online friends.

They hardly ever saw their families. Georgia was an only child and her parents had retired to Florida. Kate had a sister who lived in Seattle. Her parents had retired to Arizona.

They would discuss the pros and cons of changing their lives to suit the rest of the world. Georgia said, “I always think that if it isn’t broken, there is no need to fix it.”

  Kate agreed, “right now t
his works for us.”

So they decided not to change anything until they had a compelling reason. This made them laugh. What would be a compelling reason. And besides, neither of them liked change. It was bad enough that they had to change restaurants.

  Two

Two of the new restaurants were added to their weekly nights of eating out, which they liked to do around eleven p.m. They slept all day, had breakfast at five p.m. and a coffee break around eight p.m. Then it was time to go out for dinner.

On Kate’s birthday, Georgia decided to treat her to a birthday dinner at the date place restaurant because she knew that Kate liked it and she felt that it was only fair to let Kate have a change in their routine as part of her birthday present.

Since some change had been forced on them, why not create a little change in their lives on their own.

Armand was in town visiting his frat brother Jacques and because Armand came from the west coast and the time zone was four hours later, they ended up going out for dinner later than usual.

They were enjoying dessert and excellent coffee when they saw the two chubby ladies enter the restaurant. Armand was about to make a snarky remark about how they must have been doing the rounds of restaurants all night and coming here for a second or third meal.

He didn’t. It was something he disliked about himself, this meanness in him. The fact is he loved big women. But he tried to cover his secret passion by saying anti-fat things about them. He had always done this.

Having just had his thirtieth birthday he was adding things to his bucket list and one of the things he recently added was trying to be more authentic and less mean.

Jacques looked at him and said, “What? No nasty cracks about those women?”

Armand gave his friend a sheepish grin. “Was I that obviously mean?”

“Yep. You sure were. You were a real prick.”

“I’m trying to be a better person.” Armand took a deep breath. He wanted to confess to his passion for big beautiful women.

He tried but was only partially successful. He said, “Once you go fat, you’ll never go back.”

Jacques looked at him searching for signs of sarcasm. Then he said, “You’re serious.”

  “I am.”

Jacques said, “I call dibs on the tall one.”

Armand stared at his friend. “Are you serious?”

  “I am.”

“Good because I like the little one.”

The two men were both in business using their MBAs that they earned the same year. They worked for different companies but Armand was in town for an interview with the company that Jacques worked for.

They had been friends since college and because they both had French names but neither spoke a word of French, a lot of their friend thought they were somehow related. They did have a passing resemblance to each other.

They were both six feet tall and had sandy-brown hair and blue eyes. While this might sound like they were very similar in appearance, their ears and noses were different. Armand had a square head and Jacques had a long face.

They were pleasant looking men even though they missed being handsome. Armand’s nose was quite big and Jacques’ ears stuck out just a little too much.

They drank their coffee and watched the women order. When they realized that the women ordered main courses, they both thought, well that’s it. They’re here for the long haul tonight.

But as things happen sometimes, they got talking about their mutual yen for large ladies. “How come we never talked about this before?” Armand asked.

“Well, it’s not as if we were party guys in the day and you’ve been out west since graduation. The few times we get together it’s always about something like a wedding and we end up partying with a bunch of the guys who are trying to escape their wives.”

They talked and kept an eye on the women, just glancing over from time to time. They ordered more coffee. When they saw a small birthday cake appear, Jacques said, “Oh that’s it. We have to go over and wish her happy birthday, whichever one it is.”

They did and Armand hung back long enough to signal the waiter to bring him their bill. Jacques was already at the table introducing himself.

Armand appeared and smiled but did not say anything right away. Jacques was talking about the cake and saying what a great idea it was. Kate suggested that they join them for a slice of cake.

She looked directly into Armand’s eyes as she invited them and he automatically sat down next to her. Jacques followed his lead.

Georgia said, ‘We don’t come here a lot.”

Armand said, “I’ve never been here before.” He then explained that he was in town for an interview and so the conversation continued, as they shared their stories about work and why they were having dinner so late.

“We’re ladies of the night,” Kate joked, “but in a good way.”

  Three

The women were willing to sit up all night and talk but they were aware that Armand wanted to be fresh and well rested for his interview. When Jacques suggested that they meet the following evening for dinner, the women looked at each other and silently came to the same decision.

“Great idea,” Georgia said. They had another night off tomorrow night. The arrangements were made to meet at the same place a little bit earlier. Nine o’clock was chosen as a good time for them to get together.

Georgia was surprised to discover that dinner had been paid for and she was a little bit cranky even with that pleasant surprise. She was skeptical about romance and she had a glimmer of suspicion that the men would not show up.

Kate was sunnier and more confident that the men would be as good as their word.

Armand had suggested that they pick up the women but Georgia insisted that they meet them at the restaurant. “Better safe than sorry,” she said.

The women argued all night about the wisdom of meeting these men for dinner. Georgia continued to insist she was sure they would not show up at all.

Kate was equally adamant that they would but by the end of the night, they each had reversed their positions.

Neither of them said what was at the heart of their conversation. They were each excited at the change in their daily routine. They were thrilled at the male attention and yet somehow embarrassed at how eager they were to have more of this male attention.

They went to bed at their usual time but they were awake by mid-afternoon and they had a quick and light breakfast before they turned their attention to bubble baths and soaking their feet and shaving their legs.

Neither of them teased the other about preparing for the possibility of being naked.

Armand’s interview went well. He was pleased with the possibility of moving back to his home state and in anticipation of being offered the job, he spent the afternoon exploring the real estate options in the area.

Armand had been engaged but that ended a year ago and he had not only been single since, he had also been celibate. There had been a few dates and they were pleasant.

Pleasant but not in the least stirring in any sexual way. He had wondered if the breakup had done him damage but in fact, he was the one who ended it.

Sex with his girl friend was also pleasant but it was becoming tedious and so was she. He knew that if he loved her, loved her in the way that meant they would be together forever and happy about it, he would not find her and sex with her tedious.

She was a skinny little thing who was permanently dieting. She could wear anything off the rack and it looked good on her but cuddling with her was like cuddling with an armful of clothes hangers.

He and Jacques had been friends for a long time but because they lived on different sides of the country their conversations had been superficial. It takes a lot of sitting down and chatting casually to get into the secrets of a person’s psyche.

Over the years, they had admired women together but only to the extent that they were aware that they were both interested in women. They had never before realized that
each other was interested in larger women.

  Four

In spite of the trepidation the women had and the somewhat restrained attitude the men had toward each other based on their newly discovered common interest, dinner turned into a lively exchange of jokes and stories.

Conversation flowed freely and when Armand suggested that they have a nightcap back at his hotel room, Jacques said, “We could go to my place.”

Georgia said, “Or to our place.”

They decided to choose the easiest place to get to and that happened to be the hotel. Jacques had seen the hotel room and while it was a nice big room, it did not provide the privacy he hoped he would need before the end of the night.

So when Armand said, “The hotel is closest,” Jacques said, “Technically my place is closest.” He looked directly at Armand and the message was clear.

They agreed that the women would follow in their car and they would go to Jacques’ place. It was a spacious condo in a high rise. The view was spectacular and Kate was happy to see that it was the same building that one of their co-workers lived in with her husband.

She said on the elevator on the way up, “This is a nice building. Georgia, did you ever visit Jane and Larry here?”

“She had a Christmas party a couple of years ago.”

  “Ah yes.”

Georgia smiled knowingly at her timid friend. She just had to let the men know that they had friends in the building. What was Kate thinking anyway? That the men would make a pass at them and they would not welcome the pass?

Was she nuts? Georgia knew she was more apt to be the one making the pass at Jacques. The anticipation of physical contact was making her giddy.

She wondered if he sensed it because before the elevator door opened and just after she had that thought, Jacques took her in his arms and kissed her full on the lips.

She gasped and felt weak in the knees.

“I just had to,” Jacques said.

She was still in his arms and smiled up at him. Then the elevator stopped and the door opened.
