  It was dark—no great surprise! She discovered, though, that absolutely nothing looked familiar in the dim light filtering from the stars. They seemed to be on the roof of the building. She’d just decided she must be right when the man carrying her leapt. Her stomach went weightless for way too long and then caved in painfully when they came to a sudden halt and she flopped on his shoulder like a rag doll.

  Struggling with the pain now as uneasiness filtered into her numb mind, Nevaeh lifted her head to try to figure out where she was and what was happening.

  This certainly hadn’t been part of her fantasy!

  Where the hell was the parking lot?

  Where was her car?

  She didn’t remember the club looking like a castle!

  “What the hell?”
