  Famous Last Words is fiction.

  A dark psychological romantic thriller.

Many liberties have been taken within the context of the story for the sake of the characters and the world of Juliet.

This is not an accurate representation of life

  in a Texas prison.

  Let Sal Raniero entertain

  and give you an escape.

  Peace.

  W A R N I N G S

  are like cups of tea.

This warning is here for a reason.

This book is a work of fiction containing explicit, graphic, and violent material.

If you’re not 18+, put it the fuck down.

  Please practice safe sex.

  Safe, Sane, and Consensual (SSC)

  and

Communication is key and I do not believe anything should be swept under the rug - sexuality, gender orientation, race, age, or religion. If I help stir the cauldron of conversation and provide an escape for a few hours, I have done my job.

Play hard and have fun. Be good and love one another.

  Enjoy the ride!

  Need The Sun to Break

“Trust me, Lucas,” she moans into my lips, luring with her blinking sapphires and gripping my hands. The clock comes into focus as the reality barrels under my nose. This is the end—our breakup—and the moment I fear most. Shattering my emeralds, I close my eyes, shut. “I’ll see you on the other side. Remember to chase the butterflies.”

  This is over.

  We are through.

And this is what death feels like.

As if in slow motion, the clock ticks, and the woman I love and no longer know spins away as she tosses the fedora. Her pretty blonde strands whoosh through the air as she steals my Bollé sunglasses off the dresser and adds them to her ensemble.

I cannot breathe. I cannot think. Everything is such a fucked-up mess as the years disintegrate into nothing more than ash. The globule rolls into a massive boulder of nothingness as the high waves threaten its very existence.

Tears stream down my cheeks as I touch my bare neck. Her leaving destructs in an instant, the massive gale swooping in and sucking up everything in her wake. She extinguishes my blaze in her siren monsoon. And it’s my own damn fault as I have given my all without care or regard to my safety—my protection—my salvation overlooked for the sake of keeping one—my Angel.

The door shutting draws my wracked, naked body out of bed as I chase after the floating holy celestial being. I run fast over the embers without care. So fast the hot coals singe my skin and char my flesh from my bones.

Opening the door, I ignore the gathering and roar at the black SUV in the distance, whipping up in a cloud of dust. “No!!!”

  She is gone.

  Iris is gone.

  She left me.

I want to keep you and give you my all. I need to love you. Please come back. Come back and give me one more chance. Please rewind it all. This isn’t happening. None of this is real as I make deals with the devil in God’s house here in the middle of nowhere.

  “Lucas Salvatore Raniero?”

“Yes, Sir?” I say to the men in uniform as the pulsing globule explodes in my hands.

“You are wanted for the murder of Lydia Kettles,” he declares, spinning my body around and shoving me into the wall as my fury reignites, sparking into a fight. Flurrying through my dusty mental map, I rummage through the remnants to find Iris’ mother—Lydia Kettles—the last one connected to Daddy Gennaro and the only one I forgot to stash. Struggling against the men, I push and pull against their boundaries as they impose their threatening stance upon me. “You have the right to remain silent…”

The rest of the words blur as the Miranda Rights clutch a noose around my neck, and a new Dominant takes control of my world. The silver cuffs cinch tight around my wrists as the rings tether my insidious monster.

  “It’s a beautiful day,” I snicker, “And this isn’t fucking over…”

  Are you mad, Sal?

  The Mistress

  May 2015

The blast resonates through my soul.

The impact of the bullet announces the start of a race to the finish line as chaos takes control. This point marks the instant where we no longer fight a quiescent battle but shout a declaration of war.

Like soldiers in a line, we charge forward and do not think about the consequences. We do not consider losing or the savage cost of losses for a victorious attack.

Right now, we remain enslaved. Trapped. Bound. And the only thing that matters is our freedom.

  Game on, motherfuckers.

Collapsing to my knees, I feel his warm, thick arms embrace me—his version of a life rope. My fingers trace over the atramentous ink as I propel forward in absolute trust.

His crossing the line between good and evil isn’t unheard of, but this unplanned move shocks my system to a dangerous level, perilously close to a breakdown.

“You just shot Virginia Archer, Sal,” I mumble as he holsters his weapon like it’s just another day at the office.

The cold, dark glint in his eyes is one I recognize but don’t want to see. The focused rage never directs towards me, but I’ve witnessed his unfaltering intensity more than once. It is always stunning and causes—lip biting, weakening of the knees, and drooling between the thighs. Sal is in his element. He is still beautiful. He is forever insane.

  Sal isn’t a monster, but a Master.

“We gotta get out of here,” he rattles, thumbing through his phone and hitting a number. “Nowala.”

As he puts the receiver to his ear, I demand, “Who are you calling?”

“A friend,” he whispers, lifting a finger. “Hey, Tor…can you come clean this up?”

Weaseling my way from his arms, I pace at the end of the bed and try not to stare at Dale’s mom’s dead body. I shake my head as my lips tremble.<
br />
“Ya, it won’t take long,” he says, rocking on his heels to stand. “Simple. Direct. No mess.”

  Everything seems so surreal.

  Sterile. Factual. Uninvolved.

I had come to kill her—the woman who sold me off to my father. My mother’s Bible beating family would have nothing to do with a child born out of wedlock, top it off with being the illegitimate child of a biker. I was a walking monstrosity. A hellcat. A soul-depleting spawn. A villain before my first birthday.
