WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT
TORRID TEASERS VOLUME 23:
KISS OF THE WOLF & THE MAN UPSTAIRS
From Sheryl at eCataromance:
KISS OF THE WOLF by JT Schultz
"An extraordinary paranormal tale Kiss Of The Wolf is like no other werewolf story I have read. Brianna and Jarred are two alphas that like doing things their own way, and hate having to play second fiddle. I couldn't decide which one of them I loved most, it seemed like they were both vying for top dog or should that be wolf? But they both discovered that in the end being together was preferable to being apart. JT Schultz has penned a fantastic werewolf story and I know I wouldn't mind reading more of Jarred and Brianna in the future."
THE MAN UPSTAIRS by C Armstrong
"If heat in the kitchen is what you are after then The Man Upstairs is definitely a must to read. I really loved the way Sarah and Matt were like two warriors facing off against each other but of course the difference being the underlying tension and attraction that was between them. This author certainly knows how to entertain and captivate, and I know that I look forward to reading more from them.
"Torrid Teaser Volume 23 is definitely worth spending your hard earned money on because you not only get two stories of romance and fun but also outstanding stories that leave you hot, bothered and wanting more."

I cherished your expression from the last one I wrote.
I'd love to see your face this time as you read the love scenes! Lol ... Just kidding.
And to my supervisor,
I'd never have time in my busy schedule to write a little if it wasn't for you!

Chapter 1
Brianna Le Roux woke slowly, feeling the strum of a dull ache as it crossed her forehead. Cradling the pain with the softness of her pillow, she was met with the deliciously manly scent that lingered there.
What had she done?
She struggled to open her eyes, but found it required too much effort. She tasted last night's alcohol and tried to think beyond the headache.
A celebration. Her grandfather's retirement and herself being named full law partner at Le Roux and Lamb. The new strappy shoes from Saks, the dance club, the shots of tequila, the sexy man in Armani. Nothing else came to her.
Too much to drink, too much dancing, and who was that sexy man? She gave a groan. She should never have partied so hard last night. Not when she was determined to do a great job as the new partner. She owed her grandfather that and much more.
An image of the strange, sexy man flashed through her mind. Though she couldn't remember his face, the smell on her pillow was a pungent reminder of the night she had just shared with him. Dampness quickly rose between her legs as she recalled the fullness of his rock-hard cock inside her.
She let out another groan as more memories came, erotic memories of her climaxing, climaxes that had lasted well into the morning. Sliding her hand down her body, she played a nipple between her fingers. Lowering her caress over tanned skin, her fingers felt the hot, wet folds, now throbbing and begging for relief. With her middle finger, she slowly rubbed her clit until she needed more. The image of her hands running over strong, tanned shoulders while his thick cock rode inside her soon became too much, leaving her longing for that cock again.
Shoving a finger inside herself, she thrust her pelvis up to it. She focused solely on fucking it with the same fervor in which she had ridden the man who had thrust into her the night before. She moved her other hand to a taut nipple and fondled it, driving her pussy on. Never had getting herself off been so exhilarating. Images flashed, memories swamped her, and the sensations she had experienced with him pushed her forward.
She let out a wail as she remembered his hot liquid squirting inside her. She still had no face to go with the incredible body. However, she could recall hearing him growl, a groan of primal gratification. It sent her closer to the edge she sought. Another wail escaped her as she remembered her body's climactic convulsions. The memory of his primal release brought hers on now, leaving her sated and plastered to her bed.
Whoever he had been, he had been good.
Typical though, she would pick a man who wouldn't stick around until morning. Wolves. They were all wolves. Still, it had been a long time since a man had made her late for work.
"I'm going to be late for work!” Moaning, Brianna fought the elements of light as well as gravity as she made her way to her bedroom door. Holding onto the frame, she looked back at the bed.
"Fur? What the hell is that?” She tried to focus, cocking her head sideways. What kind of fur could have been left in her sheets? “Oh, no. I must have picked up a stray ... cat? Dog? Oh, hell. My landlord is going to have my ass."
She let out a groan, realizing she only had thirty-five minutes to get ready and get to work. Aspirin. It was going to be one of those days.
A wicked smile played across her lips. At least she had started the morning out right.
Chapter 2
Jarred entered the law offices of Le Roux & Lamb. However, he was not here to see his friend and family attorney, A. Collin Le Roux. He was looking for the granddaughter, Brianna.
His father had died, leaving him everything, including the property along the beach. It was a prime location, ideal for the block of nightclubs and restaurants Jarred had always planned to put there. After all, who didn't like the beach? Only now, he understood he would never get his hands on it unless he followed his father's last wishes to the letter and got married. The
damn will actually stated that he had to marry before he could inherit the property.
He remembered Collin's expression as he had read the codicil aloud, how he tried very valiently not to laugh at Jarred's outburst.Collin understood, as his father should have, that for Jarred, marriage meant forever. There could be no turning back. Any divorce would prove ... well, hairy, at best.
Collin had merely smiled, poured Jarred a stiff drink, and had gone on to explain that he was retiring, reminding Jarred of his granddaughter. At first, Jarred had balked at having anyone else handle his father's incredibly assinine last will and demands. Collin had assured Jarred this would work to everyone's satisfaction, yet the look in his eyes had caused the hairs on Jarred's neck to stand on end.
Not unlike last night at his club, Bane, when she had waltzed in with her small group of friends. He had felt more than just his hair rising as his gaze raked her from head to toe. Upon seeing her little dress and legs climbing to hips that beckoned to him, he had decided his rule of not seducing his patrons was as assinine as his father's will.
After coming onto her and her subsequent refusal, he had kept watch over her. As he had watched her slamming drinks back, he'd felt a fierce and overwhelming sense of protectiveness well up inside of him. He had stayed near her, had even danced with her, and had seen her safely home. Safely, until he had slid off her little dress.
Just thinking of her beautiful head twisting in the sheets as he had witnessed her forceful climaxes made him smile. It also brought his erection to nudge against his zipper almost painfully as the elevator continued to climb.
This was going to be difficult. He hadn't wanted to leave her. Now he wondered how a man went from bedding a beautiful woman to then walking into her office hours later, demanding that she figure out a way to keep him footloose and fancy free.
She was going to think the worst of him. She would probably call him a wolf, like that was going to do any damage. He jerked his leg, hoping to dislodge his erection from tenting his trousers before the doors slid open.
He was a wolf. Her grandfather knew what he was, what his father was. He wondered if Brianna knew. Had he actually found a woman who didn't mind a little fur in her teeth? He approached the reception desk, informing the woman with the headset that Ms. Le Roux's nine o'clock appointment was there. She gave him a smile, revealing to him that she was intrigued and interested. Most men would be flattered. For Jarred, it was a curse.
While they were drawn to his strong, predatory pheromones, he knew they would run screaming if they saw him during the throes of release. It was like handing him the keys to a Lamborghini, but telling him he couldn't drive it because he might get hair on the seat.
"Her office is the last door on the right.” The receptionist told him as her cheeks turned pink. She was nervous and shy, cute, but not desirable.
His mind focused on the blond-haired woman from last night. Now, that was a desirable woman. She had been desirable, despite the fact she'd had maybe a little too much to drink.
He noticed her door was open and recognized the perfume and the scent that blended with it instantly. Following the scent, he found her on the floor, on her hands and knees, looking for something. Long legs ran up under a fitted short skirt, curving quite nicely over the round bottom that danced before his appreciative gaze, heating his body with desire. Her chin-length curls bobbed in a gentle sway as she patted the carpet.
"Lose something?” he asked, thinking that if he kept watching her, he would be a little more primal and a little less chivalrous during this meeting. As it was, the urge to unzip his pants, lift her skirt and thrust his cock into her as he had the night before almost overtook him.
She turned, peering up through a tumble of blonde curls. He watched a thoughtful look cross her face, soon shaken off and replaced with a smile.
"My earring,” she answered with a slight blush to her cheeks. She leaned back, resting on her knees and held up the sapphire stud. She was beautiful.
Jared smiled as he crossed the threshold and over to her. He could feel her eyes on him and as soon as he was closer, could smell the attraction she felt for him.
"Allow me to help you up.” He offered her a hand, broadening his smile in the process. As soon as her skin touched his, he felt the jolt of electricity, images of two naked bodies joined together in the passion of lovemaking.
At this close proximity, his body was tuning into the ‘edge’ her pheromones held. She smiled sweetly, while her blue eyes danced with fascination. Jarred could tell her nervousness had just increased a notch. He knew by scent alone that he was affecting her. He stared at her slender throat as she swallowed, then watched as her fingers slid the sapphire stud back to her ear, sliding it home.
Reaching out, his finger and thumb caressed her earlobe. “So beautiful,” he spoke, referring to her.
"Thanks,” she replied breathlessly. He felt her excited shiver. She spoke in a rush. “They were my grandmother's. They're part of a set. You know, necklace, earrings."
His gaze lowered, licking along skin he had tasted last night. “Did you lose the necklace as well?"
"I'm ... no longer in control of the necklace."
"That must be very difficult for someone like you."At her confused look, he grinned, adding, “Losing control."
"Cryptic,” she replied. “Let's see, now. You are...” she asked as she waited for him to fill in the blank.
Jarred was intrigued as well as incensed. She did not remember him? How could she not remmeber him? He'd had her twisting in her sheets, howling in ecstacy. Casting an exasperated glance about the office, he moved his hands to his hips.
"Your nine o'clock appointment,” he answered with a sardonic smile. “And you are a shot of tequila. Quervo."
She gave him a quizzical look. “Have we met?” No sooner had the question left her full lips, her eyes widened slightly. “You were at the club last night?"
Jarred was sure that it was the amazement in her soft voice that had caused it to waver. He gave a single nod. “Yes, I own the club."
She took a step back and Jarred could smell her ucertainty blend with her expensive perfume. She took her bottom lip between her teeth and he could tell she was deep in thought. It was time to find out how much she remembered.
"So you remember me and you remember being in my club.” He lifted a brow.
She gave a small nod and then gave him a confused look. “Do you own a dog or a cat, a black one perchance?"
Jarred was intrigued. “No why?” He thought about last night, and knew she was remembering. This was about to get interesting.
Her cheeks tinted. “Did I take you home last night?"
"Actually, I took you home."
Jarred could feel her body heat increase and his body reacted in arousal to it.
"I'm sorry.” She ran nervous palms down her skirt. “It's just that you smell like my pillow did this morning. I think that's why..."
Jarred could smell her anxiety and could not resist taking a step closer. She held her ground.
He took another step, their bodies mere inches apart.
Leaning over, he placed his nose by her shoulder, and slowly ran it up her neck, taking in the aroma until he reached her ear.
He could feel her body heat and knew he had the lovely Ms. Le Roux's attention. He allowed a warm breath to graze her ear just before he pulled back and looked at the woman who most definitely had an effect on him. “You smell as delicious as you did last night. I hope it was as good for you as it was for me?"
Her breath caught and her full lips parted slightly. The sight was more than sexy; it was irresistible. He couldn't stop himself as he slowly moved his head toward hers without thinking twice, only prepared for her to back away. Instead, her lips welcomed his with the same intensity they had last night. The thoughts of their mating ignited desire and heat through his body, pressing him to deepen the kiss.
Wrapping an arm around her slight frame, he pulled her closer. He had neve
r tasted a moan before and he wallowed in it as he moved his tongue inside her mouth. Her sweet flavor filled his head with the deliciously sinful things they had done. A low, feral growl rumbled in his throat as his body urged him to make her remember as well.
His cock grew harder, hungering to take her again, here in the office. As delicious as that notion was, he begrudgingly went to pull his lips from hers. Her tongue entwined with his, taking the kiss to a completely new level. He skimmed his hands slowly from her waist, squeezing the firm flesh beneath her skirt. She uttered a slight moan and pressed herself against his now aching cock.
"I'm going to take you here,” he warned.
Her breath was ragged and her lips were puffy from the passion of the kiss. Her lashes fluttered open and she moved her head gently from side to side as if shaking off a spell. Her eyes widened as she stepped out of his arms. Her chin tilted slightly, her perfectly arched brows flicked to a quick furrow before they lifted slightly.
"I'm sorry, Mr.... “She struggled to regulate her breathing.
"Jarred,” he answered with a grin.
She gave a nod and he could tell she was trying to shift into professional mode. “Right then, Mr. Jarred."
Jarred gave a low chuckle, causing her large blue eyes to widen through long brown lashes. “No, Jarred is my first name, Jarred Forester."
She gave another nod. “All right then, Mr. Forester."
Jarred reveled in the moment. Never had he kissed a woman senseless before. He definitely liked the affect of it on her. Sliding his hands inside his pockets, he lifted a brow, unable to control his grin. “I think under the circumstances, it's more than fine to call me Jarred."
Her cheeks tinted slightly and she gave a shy smile. “Mine is Brianna.” He could tell it was a struggle for her to keep a level tone.
"Brianna, pretty, much like you. But I already knew that."
"Well, then, Jarred. I believe things are becoming quite clear to me now."
He lifted his dark brows suggestively. “I hoped they would."
