Grinning Trevor continued. “So it seems that when Dad got home the other day he had arrived with several extra suitcases. Then...when my source--”

Bethany cut him off. “--I know it's Rita you fuckwad. Stop stalling and acting like you’re on CNN.”

Although the words could have been deemed harsh, Bethany had spoken them lightly. Trevor knew that her mood was improving and that made him happy.

Laughing he continued. “Yes... okay. Well anyway, the next morning when Rita was cooking breakfast, dad ordered an extra muffin, a glass of juice, and a hard boiled egg.”

There was a moment of silence as Bethany took what he had just told her and digested it. He could practically hear her mind working.

“Maybe he was just hungry. But why did he order another glass of juice and not just a carafe?” Bethany was talking more to herself than to him, so Trevor decided to drop the other shoe.

“Well then there's this Beth. He sent the extra food to the second bedroom…on the master level. Not to his room.”

More silence and then Bethany came back. “Who do you think is there with him?”

Trevor didn't have that answer. “I don't know...Rita said she hasn't seen anyone. But you can bet your ass that this is why he called the meeting. Or at least it's part of it.”

  3 CHAPTER THREE

“Where is your sister? I don't know why she insists on being such a pain in my ass.” Roger Chamberlain grumbled.

He looked at his two sons, and they both shrugged. Evan stood up and stretched. He had been here for an hour, talking to his Dad about his next investment movie. His Dad, usually an alert listener, had seemed distracted. He kept looking at his watch, and at the door. Trevor arrived over ten minutes ago. He seemed in a good mood for once.

“Well...did either of you talk to her last night?” Roger looked at them both, and he knew that Trevor had.

Trevor’s face blushed and he shrugged. “Yea...I talked to her every night.”

Roger nodded. “So did she indicate that she was going to come today, or is she wasting our time?”

Trevor nodded. “She's coming. She's just...you know...Beth. Beth is Beth.”

Evan snorted from over by the window. “Is that what the new saying on the streets is? Beth is Beth? Stupid...”

Evan shook his head and looked out the window, watching the long driveway. “Here she comes...” He said as he saw a limo pulling up.

Looking at his watch Roger shook his head in disgust. A moment later, Beth could be heard coming up the stairs toward the office. She entered as if there were nothing wrong with her lateness.

“Hello Father,” She said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Trev.” She acknowledged her younger brother.

Evan walked away from the window and sat down. “Thanks for making us wait...again.” He grumbled to her.

“Well it's good to see you too, Evan. Nice to see the big movie maker has time for us little people.”

Bethany walked over to the large back leather chair and sat down.

Roger sighed and began. “Okay. Enough with the pleasantries. I don't know why you two can't get along.”

Evan snorted. “Because she's a mooch. You should cut her off for a bit and let her see what it's like to earn for yourself and not take advantage of people all the time.”

Roger waived his hand as if to quiet Evan, but Bethany had to add her two cents.

“Well Evan...perhaps you could give me a job. I would make a fine actress...don't you think…? Trevor would you please fix me a scotch and soda? Thank- you.” She smiled and crossed her legs demurely.

Evan shook his head in disgust and looked out the window. Trevor went to the liquor cabinet and made the drink.

Sighing Roger said, “Trev. Would you please make me one as well? Thank-you son.”

The family sat in silence for a moment. The soft ticking of the grandfather clock down the hall was the only sound. Trevor brought the drinks to his father and Bethany.

“Ev...you want a drink? I guess I'm the waiter for today.” Trevor grinned a wry grin.

“Yeah sure bro. How about a vodka tonic? Thank you.”

Evan watched Trevor go back to the liquor cabinet and then glanced at Bethany. She stared back at him over her glass as she took a sip. Roger walked over to the large desk and sat down behind it. He seemed to have a heavy heart today, but there was a certain tension as well that Evan couldn't put his finger on.

Trevor had finished making the drinks, and handed Evan his. Sitting down Trevor glanced over at Bethany. She smiled briefly at him, and then turned her attention to Roger.

“Well...can we not take all day?”

Although Roger Chamberlain had amassed a great fortune, there had always been a part of him that felt poor. It was family. He had a family that was constantly feuding. Maybe if his first wife, Abigail, hadn't died in that plane crash things would have been different. She had been a wonderful woman, and strong...so strong! Evan and Trevor had been devastated by the news, and Roger had tried to hold it together in front of them whenever he could. Secretly he would break down...feeling lost, as if he would never know that kind of love again.

Amazingly, he would. Beautiful Lily would come into his life about two years after Abigail's passing. Lily had been the manager at the Waldorf that Roger frequented on business. They had started up a conversation, and her warmth and genuineness had been a salve to his wounded heart. Their whirlwind courtship was consummated in marriage. Living with the three teens had been a war zone,

as Bethany was constantly trying to get her way. Lily had been the only one she would listen to, however, and had begun to show the beginnings of respect for the family. As the kids were nearing college age the diagnosis had come in. Breast and stomach cancer had claimed Lily too young.

From there Bethany had gone off the rails. She had dropped out of Brown University, more to the point, she had been asked not to come back, due to her behavior. Her attitude was a constant irritant for Evan, and the two were constantly bickering. Roger was hoping that the surprise of this get together and the reason for this meeting would be a chance for his family to unite. The acid in his stomach sent a signal to the contrary. He took a sip of his drink and sighed.

“Thank-you for being here today.” Roger began.

His nerves were raw as he looked at his three children.

“I know you all have busy lives, in your own way.”

Evan sat back against the couch with a sour look at Bethany. Trevor was leaning forward holding his glass. Bethany continued to sit with her legs crossed, staring at Roger.

He pressed on. “When your mothers’ died...there was an emptiness that engulfed the estate. First with the boys' mom, and then with your mom Beth. I loved both women completely.”

He stood up and came around the front of the desk. He sat down on the corner next to the intercom.

“There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of those two wonderful women. I wish that you kids would try and make an effort to remember them...and honor their memory by being civil toward each other. After all we are only on this earth for a little time.” He sat for a moment to let his words sink in. Taking a sip of his drink he looked at his kids, individually. Evan… so strong and independent. Trevor...so willing to please, even at the cost of his own dreams. Bethany...she would probably have made a great dictator... Unable to help it, Roger smiled.

Bringing himself back to the moment he inhaled deeply and nodded. “Well...I guess one can dream.”

Bethany shifted in her seat and Roger knew that she was starting to get impatient.

“While I have loved your Mother's immensely, I have also been lonely...and made mistakes as well.”

All three of his children looked at him with similar expressions of curiosity.

“That being said I feel that what I have to share with all of you now, is not a mistake.”

Reaching over he pressed the intercom “
talk” button. “Okay Marcus...proceed.”

There was a moment of silence as all of them sat. Roger stood up as the doorknob turned slowly. The three siblings turned looking at each other and then at the door as it opened. Standing in the doorway was an angel. A woman of about twenty-two, with long blond hair and sky blue eyes. She was petite and flawless. She smiled hesitantly, and stood still. Behind her the hulking form of Marcus, the chief of security could be seen.

“It's okay dear...” Roger said and held out his hand. “Come in and meet your new family.”

  4 CHAPTER FOUR

The atmosphere in the room changed in an instant. Bethany immediately looked at the clutched left hand of the woman standing in the doorway, and saw her mother's diamond ring. Unable to help it her mouth dropped open in surprise. Slowly the woman walked toward Roger, who was standing with his right hand extended. Taking his hand in hers she leaned forward to receive a gentle kiss on the cheek. Roger looked deeply into the young woman's eyes and smiled as he placed his hand along side of her head in a comforting manner.

  “Okay?” He asked softly.

  She smiled and nodded.

“What the fuck is this?!!” Bethany blurted with her usual lack of tact when she was angry.

Sighing Roger let his hand drop from the woman's face and turned to Bethany. “Really Beth...a little more decorum would be appreciated.”

The young woman turned around and leaned up against the desk so she could look at the three.

“This is Lindsey. We met the last time I was in California.”

He put his arm around her as she held up her hand in a wave.

  “Hello...” She said.

Evan sat staring. He couldn't believe it. What had his dad done? Trevor sat staring at Lindsey as if he had never seen a woman before. Bethany stood up, spilling her drink.

“Did you get MARRIED?!! To this...this...CHILD?!?!” She shouted.

Lindsey winced at the accusation, and Roger cast a look at Bethany that Evan had not seen in a long time. It was a Father chastising his daughter look, and it had plenty of venom.

“Sit down young lady!” He ordered sternly.

Bethany took a shaky step back, surprised at the order. She sat down, and her bottom lip poked out involuntarily. Evan shook his head and drained his glass in one long gulp. Trevor looked over at Bethany, and then back at Lindsey. He had a stunned look on his face that caused Evan to chuckle. Standing up Evan walked over to Lindsey and Roger. He held out his hand to his Father, who took it. Evan gave it a shake and looked his father in the eyes.

“Good job old man...” He grinned. “ She's stunning.”

Roger's lips tightened and it struck Evan as a little odd.

“Hey...why not have a little cupcake when you get older...right Dad?” Evan looked over at Lindsey with disdain.

“Get your hooks into a wealthy old man...right doll?”

Roger made a guttural noise and his face grew crimson with rage. “That's enough Evan!” He hissed.

Evan snorted softly and shook his head. He walked toward the liquor cabinet. He stopped next to Bethany who was sitting with a bitter look on her face. Holding out his hand he pointed to her drink.

  “Want another?” He asked.

Still looking at Lindsey, Bethany nodded. She quickly drained her glass and held it up to Evan. Taking it, Evan started walking toward the liquor cabinet.

“Yeah... drink up Beth...there goes your inheritance.”

He knew he shouldn't exasperate the situation but it felt good to stick it to Bethany whenever he got a chance. Behind him he heard Roger curse.

  “Dammit Evan. Stop it.”

Pouring the drinks Evan smiled, with his back to the rest. His Father getting married didn't really affect him, as he had amassed his own wealth. But he knew that Trevor and Bethany depended on the family money. The fact that this must be boiling their blood was making him giddy. Turning back he walked with drinks in hand. As he handed the drink to Bethany he looked at Lindsey. She was clearly uncomfortable, and looked to be on the verge of tears.

“Sorry Dad...” Evan said as he made his way to the couch to sit back down. “It's just such a surprise.”

Roger nodded. “It was a surprise for me...us...as well. Right Lindsey?”

She nodded and looked down at the floor. She was wearing a conservative skirt and shirt combo. Modest flats were on her feet, and she had very little make-up on. Evan didn't know if he had ever seen a more natural beauty.

“Obviously you now know why I asked you all to come today. We are going to have a small celebration...not a ceremony; we've already had that in Vegas, but a small celebration to welcome Lindsey to the family. I know how this might appear, but I assure you that this love is the purest love.”

He looked at Lindsey and smiled, and she returned the smile. It was a nice moment, Evan thought, but there didn't seem to be that animal magnetism that lovers have. Of course not...he's like 40 years older than her. She's just after his money anyway. Think again gold-digger...I'm gonna watch you like a hawk.

  ******

“What the FUCK Trevor?!?!” Bethany screamed.

They were back in her condo, and she was pacing back and forth. Her agitation had Trevor feeling quite uncomfortable. “Like who the hell does that little tramp think she is? She can't just come in and swoop up money from our inheritance, I can assure you of that fact.” She continued to pace, but the pacing turned into circles.

Trevor fixed a couple of drinks and walked over to her.

“Don't get so worked up Beth...I mean...it's not like Dad's going to drop dead tomorrow. We have time to sort this out.”

Bethany waved her hand in an irritated manner. “He just goes out to California and picks up some bimbo, and we're just supposed to sit here and take it? I DON'T THINK SO!”

She took a sip from her drink and Trevor gratefully listened to the silence. Bethany had stopped pacing and was staring at the wall as she held her drink. Deep in thought, her usual frown had loosened and Trevor smiled. She really was beautiful when she was calm.

She turned and looked at him, and a small smile appeared at the left side of her full lips. Trevor couldn't help but smile back. She took a sip of her drink and her blue eyes sparkled from behind her glass. She lowered the glass, still staring at Trevor and slowly licked her lips. He felt a little jump in his groin, and his cheeks grew crimson. Still smiling her sultry grin she looked at his crotch, and then back into his eyes.

She took a slow step towards him, holding her drink up next to her shoulder. She was looking at him with a steady gaze.

  “Trev.” She whispered.

He swallowed hard and looked at her.

  “Trev. You have friends...”

She was next to him now, and she ran her free hand along his shoulders as she walked slowly past him. She stopped behind him, and ran her hand up the back of his neck. Little goose bumps broke out on his skin at her touch. Running her manicured finger nails up his neck she leaned close. He could feel her warm breath on the side of his neck and his ear. The smell of booze and freshly applied lipstick filled his senses.

“Friends that can find out...about her. Don't you?” She whispered.

He felt her lips lightly brush his ear and he had to fight to contain himself. He turned his head slightly so he could see her and he nodded slightly. She smiled widely now.

“It will be expensive though.” He said softly.

Continuing to smile she ran her finger down his cheek. She turned and started to walk toward the bedroom, unbuttoning her blouse. Looking back over her shoulder, she let the blouse fall to the floor.

“I'm sure we can work out the details...don't you agree?”

Trevor nodded, and licked his lips nervously. Bethany started to walk again, toward the bedroom, when she reached around and unzipped her skirt. She stopped and let it his the floor softly, reveal a toned bottom in a thong.

“Trev…” She began as she looked over her shoulder at him. “W
ould you be so kind as to give me a massage? All this business has made me tense.”

Without waiting for an answer she strode into the bedroom.

  5 CHAPTER FIVE

Evan was thrusting slowly, and the pretty blond beneath him was panting. “You can go faster Ev...” She moaned.

Why are people that barely know me shortening my name? He looked at Deb's face and she had a small smile on it, with her eyes closed. Suddenly Evan wanted simultaneously to leave her apartment, and to fuck her brains out. He chose the later. He started thrusting faster and harder, and grabbed her shoulders to pull her down as he thrust. She cried out, and he couldn't tell if it was from pleasure or pain. Realizing that she had gotten extremely wet confirmed it was pleasure, and he continued to at a high speed.

As he thrust he could barely feel her walls around him, he was just going through the motions. He pulled back and looked into her face. She was moaning loudly. When she opened her eyes her face transformed. Lindsey Chamberlain looked up at him with that innocent angelic face. “I'm going to come...” She whispered. Suddenly he was engulfed in the moment. Her walls grasped his hard member, and he was on the verge. “Me too...” He said as he stared in disbelief.
