  IIANNG WILLIOT AND ITS REFLECTION.

Iianng Williot senior was a middle-aged man, always dressed at all points. He liked, in fact, dressed in an elegant, perhaps a little old-fashioned for the times in which they lived with his waistcoat pocket watch could never miss when she left the house.

I had so many extra pounds over its weight and mustache care served only to give it more authority. When he walked down the street, in fact, did not go unnoticed and people who knew him always greeted him with great respect.

That morning Mr. Williot had risen up early and had left home earlier than usual because he realized he had run out of razor blades and, since he wanted his image, had anticipated the release as soon as possible to shave . The beard was not grown compared to the previous day, but the absence of the daily act of shaving in the early hours of the morning made him feel uncomfortable. Mr. Williot fact, despite being retired and having plenty of free time, he was a very methodical and routine. Every gesture and every activity was tightly scheduled and sequenced in the day.

After buying razors at the usual tobacconist, had walked into the local bar to get the usual coffee at the bar of the victories of Paul.

During the trip, her gaze lingered on the white facade of the town library and his thoughts turned to the commitment already awaiting him the next day.

  - I absolutely need this book to complete the article be sent to the magazine. I hope to see him as soon as possible so that my essay will be complete as I had expected - he said to himself Williot - I'll go personally. Iianng junior has his head in the clouds and not figuratively having regard to its insane passion for astronomy. Who knows who will be caught! Both I and mother of the lawyers ... we can not understand - and regretted it, because the only thing that would never be able to plan was the life of others, including that of his son. Iianng junior, though he was a boy in a way that respects the parents was very fond of astronomy and would hardly have undertaken the legal profession that had, until recently held senior Iianng with his wife.

  - ... That is, they still fully viable and would not even need the help of my more knowledgeable colleague to try this book. I never had needed anyone so far and there is no reason to change course right now - continued proud of himself Iiaang senior. The pride that at times touched the pride shone on their manner of walking straight back, chest and belly out and chin upward.

It was the image of a person of strong character and extremely fair. - I do not need anyone - even if they kept repeating was firmly convinced.

Arriving at the bar of the Victoria, he entered the greeting waiting for Mario, the bartender, as ever saluted Iianng not first.

  - Good morning, a lawyer! - Mario exclaimed in a tone more happy than usual - Today is lucky! He won one of those cups on display in glass wall near the entrance. It's a wonderful cup that we had our choice for the thousandth customer, and second, the equipment that we have made the entrance, is she the lucky -.

Iianng, annoyed by the novelty and joy of unmotivated bartender, without even turning to the glass wall had pointed out, "he said with his usual tone: - Thanks, but I need not. Would rather have my usual coffee -.

For the finishing Williot razors and have not shaved at the usual time was the only news that could tolerate the day and then he had not need anything, let alone a coffee cup that was different from that usually used to home.

The bartender knew he could not insist and prepared the usual coffee and acted with his usual seriousness and deference he was used to his habitual customer.

When he had finished Williot touched the non-existent beard, looked at the time on his pocket watch and exclaimed: - It is now that you come home to do what I should do half an hour ago! - And went with quiet but firm step towards his home.

At that hour of the morning there was nobody to hinder the efforts of Williot: his wife was in the studio and his son was away from home.

  - Well! - And he said, taking one of the new razors, walked to the bathroom.

The large mirror reflects the image of Williot senior, a first proud, then cried a little puzzled: - Yes ... But now there seems to be something strange -.

Iianng continued to stare at his image in the mirror, with look angry. At first, he began to settle the suit, then began to touch his face and turn around, left and right, to understand what was wrong.

  - Could the fact I did not shave at the usual time has changed me - he said staring at his own image until he heard a voice saying: - Of course there is something wrong! -.

Iianng turned around, startled to see where that voice came and said: - Who's in? -. Then he came out of bathroom and check the house unnecessarily.

  - But the voice was so close. It seems to come from a person who was in front of me! - Muttered, returning to the bathroom and increasingly annoyed by the news that was happening during the day.

After you put shaving cream on his face, took a razor to shave with a decision before they did too late.

As he was approaching his hand to his face and noticed a new oddity. His reflection in the mirror had lowered his arm, put the razor on the sink and had put her arms folded.

  - Well! What happens now - said annoyed Iianng senior, while his image was wiping his face from the foam.

  - It happens that I was annoyed to behave like that - he said, under the astonished eyes of Iianng, its mirror image.

  - What! Talk? - Iianng said.

  - Sure! - Said his image - I'm sorry you thought that, besides being self-sufficient and proud, I was the only person who can talk? - He said curtly.

Iianng, frustrated than surprised, for the new thing that was happening, I start to talk to her reflection.

  - If anything - Iianng pointed out - why should I be annoyed me your behavior. You're nothing but my image and you should adapt to what I do! -

  - But look at that not all our actions and behaviors that you take are shared. Body and soul coexist but the second does not necessarily agree with what he does first. Do not you think? -.

Iianng was increasingly annoyed because his image, as well as having his own physical appearance, he also had his interim capacity and not knowing at all expecting an easy conversation.

  - First, how should I call? - Said Iianng to avoid reporting his name to something that was totally antithetical to his thoughts.

  - How do you call me? I'm your opposite, so I can not call me that Gianni - said in a tone of obviousness.

  - Um ... Yeah! - Had to admit Iianng, sensing that he was talking to someone who had his own level of knowledge and wit, then Gianni. I guess you do not fit the way I behave with others - he said, almost to avoid losing precious time and turn around something you already guessed.

  - Well! I see that we begin to understand or simply do not pretend not to u
nderstand - and despite looking nervous and annoyed his partner went on to say - I do not want to be proud and feel superior to others. I'll end up finding myself alone when I need it -.

Iianng: - But look what we're talking about me, not you! - Pointed Iianng - And I do not care either your life or your advice -.

  - You do not pretend to understand. However, if you want to talk about you - and went on treading the "you" - We all need others sooner or later you and your arrogant behavior will backfire one day -.

  - Well! This is my life and I do what I want. I repeat to you, because unfortunately you are to me before whenever I mirror: I did not need anyone -.

And John, looking offended - Look what I can even go away if you want, but you're sure to be able to do without me? -.

Iianng: - Of course! I wish I could get rid of your presence. I'd live a lot quieter! - Hastened to say, to show that there was to think about.

  - Well! - Said in a resolute tone before walking away and disappearing from view of Iianng.

In front of the mirror, now empty, Iianng pleased to have done away even his reflection, he said: - At last! Now I can shave in peace - in saying this, however, he realized that he can not see yourself. However, pretending that it did not even need to shave his reflected image, hold the razor and start shaving.

Many were the scratches and wounds on the face of Iianng that day.

  CHAPTER II

  THE BOOK.

The new day had arrived and Williot senior, before going to the library, as every morning at the usual time was in front of his bathroom mirror to shave.

Although he had forgotten the quarrel and separation from his image, Williot could not help but to stand, however, before the mirror to shave. It was too routine to change this act daily.

That morning, in fact, had to shave off the water looking at the image reflected in the mirror image of its place. Although the new cuts that he had obtained by shaving the beard, he pretended that he was alright and kept repeating, this time for convince him self: - As I said good! I do not need nobody, not even that stupid reflection and meddlesome -.

Before leaving, however, had to pass his hand repeatedly on the face to make sure that the beard had been made properly, and then exclaimed: - Well! - But as soon as he saw his hand full of blood beginning to worry.

  - Now up medical equipment - and after taking the disinfectant, was a little disappointed when, in the mirror almost automatically noticed that there was no reflection that could help him in the dressing.

Williot, retaining the excellent way in which the nerve was rising, he began again to feel the face, inch by inch, to understand where was the wound. Only after all this time the dressing was finished and could go to the library.

  - Today I did really late! - Exclaimed, after seeing the watch pocket and took his sheets of notes to do library research.

Although it was released late from home, Dr. Willior senior, with the pitch that could quicken than its weight, arrived an hour acceptable to the library and immediately began to research the book.

  - Let's see ... In the letter R, perhaps I should be able to find something - he thought as he wandered among the tall shelves of the library. It was as part of the older books, the one less traveled when his attention was drawn to a dusty book, but different, from which he was mysteriously attracted.

  - Maybe it's him! - Said softly, in the quiet and secluded corridor, before taking them to book.

  - ... ... The story of the prison planets - and then trying to read the subtitle, now worn by time and dust, he went on - ... A true story more than you can imagine -.

  - Of course! - Said in the silent hall, - These are the kind of fantastic tales or science fiction, that like so much of my son at that tramp -. Then put down the book, with a gesture of annoyance, on a table nearby. However, before returning to the scientific research of his book with the corner of his eye he saw in the mirror placed in front of the table where he had placed the book of short stories had appeared Gianni, his image had taken a picture of the book and were watching curiously.

Williot annoyed that he had no control over its image and eager to revenge for the wounds they had received on his face for his behavior, with sudden gesture, he took the book of tales from the table and put it back in its place on the shelf.

Williot smiled mockingly as he gave his back to his image, thinking that put the book back in his place would have prevented his image to read the image of the book.

However, when the corner of his eye he saw that nothing had changed in the mirror, he began to get nervous. The image of the book of short stories, in fact, had remained there, in the mirror in front of Gianni, who, heedless of the gesture of Williot, had approached him and opened him to read it.

  - You can also read nonsense. I will not and never will be you and change my mind! - Launching of dirty looks and whispered to his image. Williot, in fact, was in dispute with her and not, moreover, was not convinced that more needed to confide in, or be with her. - I do not need her, or she can make me curious about reading some crap. Things are not for me! -.

After regaining control of himself, he pretended not to see anything and went back to the scientific research of his book until he could find it.

That evening, at home, although he had Williot required to read his book to complete the scientific essay, he could not think what he had read his book on that image.

  CHAPTER III

  THE TRUCE.

As the days passed, the wounds on the face of increased Williot and pain began to be felt because it was difficult to treat by others. Fearing infection, and even more not complete his paper for the drops of blood, from time to time, continued to stain the sheets on which he wrote, he decided to go to a doctor.

Dr. Luiss was a man of small stature, dry, with big blue eyes, was calm and thoughtful as temperamentally loved to see more than talk. Only when he was well placed the situation and the problems he gave his response.

Williot Dr. Luiss very trusted, because he knew well, having had under his care since I was little.

Dr. Luiss, was not surprised to see her old and very healthy score in his studio and, after throwing a look at the cuts on his face, waved to Williot sit on the chair of the surgery to tell him what was going on.

  - Doctor, but I do not check the wounds? Could cause infection - Williot said.

  - First I want to tell me what is happening to you. It is more important than the material injury - says the doctor.

Williot, a little amazed at the response and undecided about how to begin the speech, after a moment's pause, he said: - Um ... I was shaving his beard when I inadvertently cut - and then he saw the impassive gaze of Luiss It seemed that he knew everything and waiting for the truth. His eyes spoke for him.

Williot, fearing to be taken for mad, he was again embarrassed how to begin the speech.

  - I do not know how, but because there are those cuts! - Said with words as sharp as a razor, the doctor, so that Williot, looking down resignedly decided to tell everything that had happened with his own reflection.

  - I know it sounds strange, sir. But it is. I hope not to be mad. Maybe it is just the stress of these days - said Williot under the impassive gaze of the doctor, almost an excuse for what had happened.

Luiss, after having carefully observed and not even touched him, spoke: - Dear Iianng it is very simple. You make peace with yourself, otherwise you will destroy the inner conflict ... even physically -.

Williot, surprised by the diagnosis, although his doctor had never wrong, he said. - But ... but ... What should I do? -.

Luiss: - You know you already. You make peace with your conscience, listen to it even if it can make you perform acts you've never done. None of us can do without the other. Let alone his own conscience -.

The session ended there, without medication. Williot materials had realized that the wounds were nothing but a consequence of an internal wound far more important. Had to solve this if he wanted to heal cuts on h
is face.

Williot went home still thinking about how to go talk to the other self, to find the peace with himself, until he decided to return to the scene of the fight.

He entered the bathroom to the mirror Williot shouted: - Hey you! Come out. I have to talk -.

After a moment of silence Williot image reappears in the large bathroom mirror and say - Look, my name is John! - Then he added, sounding disinterested: - What is it? -.

Williot to avoid saying that he needed to make peace with his picture, he said: - Well, I wanted to see you again. It seems silly, as kids do not talk for a simple argument -.

  - Did you get away with saying that you did not need either of your image and add your conscience - said in a disinterested tone, and looking around.

  - Oh, in other words what you want from me? - Said Williot - Why I can not live in peace, as I have always done? -.

  - Look, no one stopping you. I went away because I did not want to create obstacles in your life perfect and well adjusted. If you want to go away again -.

Williot, seeing his image away again, he exclaimed: - No wait! -.

  - What's new? - Said his alter ego.

  - And Oh well ... ehm ... Here! I'd like to know what was written on that book you've read the other day - said to prevent its mirror image to go back on.
