Tell your daughters how you love your body.

Tell them how they must love theirs.

Tell them to be proud of every bit of themselves—

from their tiger stripes to the soft flesh of their thighs,

whether there is a little of them or a lot,

whether freckles cover their face or not,

whether their curves are plentiful or slim,

whether their hair is thick, curly, straight, long or short.

  Tell them how they inherited

their ancestors, souls in their smiles,

  that their eyes carry countries

  that breathed life into history,

that the swing of their hips

  does not determine their destiny.

Tell them never to listen when bodies are critiqued.

Tell them every woman’s body is beautiful

because every woman’s soul is unique.”

  Preface

  Aries.

A name that sent chills down the spines of every man that lived to tell.

He's charming for sure, has a twinkle in his eyes that can only be described as warmth hotter than sunlight on amber, but don't let that glimmer fool you. For the warmth of his eyes are of a power hungry man. A man who's thirst for blood reigned over empires for centuries before and more centuries to come. Because he was no man. He was a beast. The strongest and most feared beast of all. Pack leaders pleaded at his feet. He killed to feel alive. Feeding on the blood of the defenseless, with no heart. Some say the moon goddess was cross with him and never blessed him with a mate. For who could be a mate to a monster?

  ~

He was the sun, and she was the moon.

Soaring too close, she burned into a thousand flames.☯

  Chapter 1- Ariel

A strong bright light dawned upon my eyelids disturbing my sleep. I turned to my left side so I can shield myself, returning to my deep slumber.

Another bright light found its way to me from the left side of the room. I groaned and pulled the cover over my head, blocking away the light, trying to sleep again.

  "Ariel."

I clutched the cover tighter over my head, trying to ignore my annoying intruder.

"Ariel!" The voice hissed angrily, but I refused to wake up.

Suddenly the cover was ripped away from my clutches as the bright light swallowed me whole.

"Ariel, wake up! We're late for the first day of school," pestered the clear voice of my best friend, Lizzy.

I peeled one of my eyelids to look at her, my eyesight failing me miserably but still clearly identifying the silhouette as Lizzy.

I groaned as I stretched my body like a cat.

"I'm going to pick out an outfit for you." She declared, her presence suddenly diminishing, no longer being felt, as she stalked into my walk-in closet.

Praise the lord. Now I'll get a few more minutes of sleep. I thought as I started to drift off again.

"Wake. The. Fuck. Up!" She yelled, throwing my school bag on my head, from a quite painful distance.

"Ow!" I screeched, as I rubbed my head, turning around to glare at her figure at my closet's doorframe.

She looked kind of cute, tapping her foot impatiently with a hand on her hip. She looked like an angry she-devil bunny.

I was about to shoot her a snarky remark, but she raised her perfect round brow at me as she clenched her jaw and I directly submitted, raising my hands up in surrender, "Alright! Alright. No need to get your panties in a twist!"

It was hard to believe that I was the alpha's daughter, when she was around.

I sprung off of bed, and headed to the bathroom.

Ugh. I looked ugly; I almost scared myself through the mirror.

I stripped off my p-jays, and jumped into the shower, turning it on, and quickly washed myself off.

I applied my shampoo and then the conditioner, and washed each one of the applied products off in their own time.

A bang on the door, made me scramble to finish up.

"Almost done!" I yelled under the water, reassuring Lizzy that I'd be ready in no time.

I turned off the shower tap, and walked out, wrapping a purple towel around my body, as I dried myself off.

Turning to the sink, I swiftly brushed my teeth, and then stepped out of the bathroom.

"It's about time!" She said, throwing her hands up in the air in exasperation.

I huffed, as I pulled a pair of undies up my legs, from under the
towel, "Geez, Liz, relax. So what if we're late? We're seniors! I'm the Alpha's daughter for crying out loud."

"Yes, you're the alpha's daughter. But I'm the third's, so I'll get told off!"

I rolled my eyes at her, as I turned away from her, dropping the towel and putting on a bra.

"God, I wish I had your body!" She groaned, throwing herself on my bed.

I chuckled, "And I wish I had yours."

I put on the white short sleeved crop top that she picked out for me, and wore some blue ripped up skinny jeans, with my black converse.

I brushed my hair through, letting its natural long waves settle in and then I sprayed on my favorite versace perfume.

Grabbing my bag, I walked to the door, "I'm ready, Liz, get up."

She got off my bed, smiling at me sheepishly, and we both raced downstairs.

I lived with my parents and my younger brother in the pack house. It was huge, and I loved staying there, with everyone around.

I was about to enter the kitchen when Liz pulled me back by the collar, "We'll grab some food at school, now move!" She ordered.

I groaned inwardly, but nonetheless, complied, heading towards the door.

Trevor our personal bodyguard was waiting for us, outside near our black range rover.

"Good morning, Miss Harris." He greeted me with a smile, "Miss Jacobs." He smiled to Elizabeth.

"Morning Trev!" We chimed, as we got into the car.

The ride to school was quiet, and my stomach was in knots.

As soon as we got to school grounds, Liz and I practically jumped out of the moving car.

We scrambled to our feet, racing towards the school doors.

The grounds were empty, I noticed, which meant that the first bell already rang.

My heart was racing as we both crashed into the school hall, where everyone was rushing to their lockers and hurrying to their classes.

No body wanted to be late for the first day of school. Even if it was just registration at homeroom. Well, at least almost everyone, except of the couple who were making out in the corner.

Elizabeth and I both exchanged looks, as she fake gagged, and I rolled my eyes as i scrunched up my nose in disgust.

As we approached our lockers we steadied our pace.

I put in the combination and crammed my books inside, all except of English, cause that was my first class.

My dad asked for my schedule from Principal Murray, earlier than the other students, who usually had to be early to school in order to ask for their schedules from the front desk.

Liz and I hurried towards our home room, bumping into our best friend, the beta's son, Michael.

"Hey guys!" He beamed, flashing us his perfect pearly teeth.

"Hey Mikey." We both greeted him, walking into class, just in time, as the second bell rang.

We took our usual seats near the window and Mr Clarke entered in a hurry, looking as messy as always.

"Good morning class, sorry I'm late." He said, as he sat down, and rubbed his face, looking hung-over. He turned on the smart board as well as the computer, so he could take registration, and I groaned, knowing that this was going to be a long day.

"We'd like to make an alliance." The man said as he negotiated, for the safety of his pack. "Your extra protection would be a great advantage to our pack."

He had green eyes and dark black hair, which was starting to grey, lightly. His beta, on the other hand, looked slightly older, with his light blue eyes and brown-grey hair.

I could see why they needed my protection.

The alpha shifted slightly under my gaze, then he cleared his throat, "We have a strong pack, the second strongest, after yours. We can take care of ourselves, but I was thinking, that strength comes in unity. We could offer you a greater body count during wars or any attacks, in exchange for your protection and training."

My beta and third laughed mockingly. Jake, my beta, being the one to speak first, "We don't need a body count. Our pack has almost two-thousand members." He spat harshly.

The other Beta flinched, but the alpha growled in response, "Watch your tone pup! You may be in the most powerful pack, but I still over rule you in years." He snapped.

Before my beta could speak again I slammed my hand on the table angrily as I glared at Jake, "Enough! The Alpha is correct; know your boundaries Beta Jake." I growled, not liking where this was heading.

  Jake directly submitted.

The Alpha nodded at me approvingly as he gathered his composure, "Adding my pack members in alliance would guarantee you almost a thousand more werewolves in battle. Surely this would peak your interest, Alpha Aries."

Will you make the deal? Jake contacted me via mind-link.

I ignored his question, looking towards the Alpha, "It does. We have a deal, Alpha Harris."

It was past third period and my stomach was starting to growl.

Next was lunch then gym and I was waiting anxiously. I hated this sequence, I usually ate lightly so that I wouldn't throw up during gym class.

Five more minutes till the bell rang.

Michael, Liz, and I were exchanging glances, counting the seconds that passed by.

Mr Gordon was talking about world war two.

With my chin on my palm I stared through the window.

I noticed that some cars started to slowly file into the school parking lot. All of them black SUVs, and this spiked my senses.

Something was wrong. I could feel it.

I looked back at Michael, contacting him via mind-link.

  Something's not right.

He frowned at me, looking through the window to where my gaze was set upon. What's that about?

  I don't know. I mind-linked back.

Suddenly a loud siren went on through the whole school.

The siren went on three consecutive times before pausing and going on again.

I knew what that meant. We took it in defense Ed.

Rogues. Michael and I linked at once.

The teacher froze, in panic, so I had to take action.

"Everyone get to the gym! Move!" I ordered, using my Alpha voice for the first time, ever.

Everyone got out of their seats in a hurry leaving everything behind.

"This is a rouge attack! Move, move, move!" Commanded Michael, as all the students sped out of class.

Mr Gordon hurried to the door, and held it open for everyone to run out.

Michael and Lizzy were at my side in an instant. We strode out of the class and sped through the hall, "Whatever happens, we stick together!" I ordered them both.

They both nodded, as we ran to the gym side by side.

As soon as we got in, the count down for the doors' lock down initiated.

Mr Murray looked stressed trying to control everything as Mr Isaac helped him keep everyone in order. The murmurs and panicked chattering of everyone grew louder and louder by the minute. My heart banged against my chest, and suddenly Michael held onto my hand tightly, giving me a reassuring smile.

Dad! There's a rogue attack! Come quickly. I mind-linked him, as we sat down on the bleachers.

Mr Murray grabbed the microphone, "Ariel Harris. Everyone, make sure Ariel Harris is here."

Everyone started looking frantically with worry, until their eyes fell upon me and relief crossed across their faces.

"Don't worry; we're all here for you. Nothing will happen." Reassured Lizzy.
